Great apartment, beautifully decorated and furnished. Really well equipped kitchen too, which is rare to find. View from the roof terrace is breath taking. Go up there early morning for sunrise, you won't regret it!
Cool medina location- henna souk very close. Maia and Michela were friendly and attentive! Answered all my questions and provided me with information. natural lighting and private roof terrace were great.
Beautiful and comfortable home in the heart of the medina. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and Michela and Mohamed were really helpful in showing me all the useful and interesting places nearby. Fantastic experience, I'll definitely book this place again when I next visit Fez.
We couldn't have wished for a better first airbnb experience. Maia's apartment in the very heart of the medina in fez is a dream within a dream.
Everything you could possibly need is at hand, both in the house as around. We even decided to stay home one night, and enjoy our selfmade dinner on the lovely roof terrace.
From the very beginning Maia was very informative and helpful and Michela who awaited us upon our arrival made for a most friendly welcome to fez.
We stayed for four days and hope to return shortly!
Maia and Michela, many thanks for making our first airbnb experience such a special one!
This is a wonderful traditional flat in which to get a taste of life in the old medina. The amenities are great - the comfortable bedroom a cool retreat, rustic and fully equipped kitchen, bright and airy lounge, cute bathroom and the large two-tiered terrace with very impressive views. After initial contact with Maia, I was received by Michela who kindly helped me to settle in. I have to say I would not have traded this experience for any luxury hotel stay...I was so bewitched by the warmth of the people I met, the sights and sounds that I came across. It was an incredible week in Fez and I will be returning!
We didn't meet Maia but Michela and Mohamed were lovely, very kind, and helped us sort out a few things including the 5 a.m. taxi to the airport. The roof terrace in the evening listening to the call to prayer was just magical. The apartment is clean and central, noisy (we didn't come here to sleep) and we are very glad that we chose it.
I actually stayed in Maia's other apartment, which is listed as Apartment1in Fez Medina. Maia's house manager, Michaela, met my friend and I at a nearby restaurant and brought us the winding 10-minute walk to the apartment. It's a gorgeous place! Perhaps a little tight for two friends, as we were, but perfect for one person or for a couple. It's very centrally located, comfy bed, small selection of spices, tea, etc., a good shower and a nice washing machine and clotheslines to boot!
I did see the skylight apartment (this listing) as it's right about the one we stayed in. It's also lovely, with a bigger bed and a bigger kitchen.
Maia was great with communication and her instructions for finding the house/meeting Michaela were very detailed, so we weren't nervous.
We had a wonderful stay thanks to a warm welcoming! The flat is charming and the terrasse perfect for nice breakfasts with an amazing view on the Médina!
This is a lovely apartment - clean and v central and easy to find once you've been taken there the once. The terrace is stunning, and there is a nice view from the living room table. Michela who looks after the apartment for Maia is lovely and very helpful - she met me late at night the first evening as my flight did not get in til midnight and helped arrange an early taxi on the last day. The bathroom on the staircase is fine, tho a bit of a challenge if you are tall like me to clamber into at first. The kitchen was fine to cook food. The ruined garden is a bit pricey by Morocco standards but the food is very good - they also serve alcohol, as do quite a few places - you can also buy it at the Carrefour easily enough. the washing machine was a great boon to have and the clothes dry easily on the terrace. The internet was good and reliable if a little slow at times.
Maia is welcome again
Maia y su amigo son muy amables y sociables. Fue agradable tenerlos aquí en mi piso. Por supuesto son unos huéspedes geniales!
It was my pleasure to have Maia staying in my apartment. She was very communicable and she treated the place with utmost care - would have her back anytime!!
