Hi, I have worked in communications, media and politics for the last couple of decades.
I'm now taking a break from all that seriousness and writing a novel in a gorgeous bush retreat on the outskirts of Margaret River. When words fail me I love tending the gardens and orchard, walking with our big brown dog Bailey.
My sister Frances and her husband Tony, have owned this property for a decade and now reluctantly live further north. They have enjoyed many visits from friends and family across the globe and would like you to also experience this unique place.
Terry Drive is close enough to town (9km), cafes and vineyards, but feels like a piece of your own heaven when you are here.
I have rarely seen the stars so clearly as I have here. Now that it's cooler I have a roaring fire most nights, but you can still sit outside with a rug and watch for comet showers or the more prosaic satellites. It's perfect with a glass of wine or your hands around a hot mug of coffee, tea or chocolate.
Life here is simple; there is no loud music or reality TV. The tranquility of the setting is enough. The wifi can be unreliable at times but is usually sufficient to check emails. Please come and visit.
