John was a wonderful host and his apartment was great, even better than advertised. His apartment is located perfectly for conference attendance, it's only three blocks away from the convention center and a short 10 minute walk to the French Quarter and great restaurants near Bourbon street area. John was incredibly attentive and answered any questions I had for him very quickly. I highly recommend staying here especially for conferences, you can come back to your own apartment, full kitchen, an INCREDIBLY comfortable bed, and very comfortable bathroom, with very very good water pressure (which is worth noting). The apartment also features a wonderful roof deck with incredible views.
Very convenient to all the attractions of New Orleans.
Spacious and located in a nice area of the city
Although I wasn't able to make it to New Orleans due to terrible winter weather, john was really understanding and did his best to accommodate. But in the end I wasn't able to reschedule my trip. John was professionally prompt in issuing me a refund...
And when I do make it down to N.O, I will definitely contact john so I can enhance my experience by staying at his lovely place. :-)
John was very helpful and had a nice cozy place. thanks.
John's place is really comfortable and convenient. He left clear and precise instructions on how to get into his place without needing to meet up, and had the wireless code and cold beer waiting inside. This is an upscale loft-style apartment, quiet neighbors and very convenient location - would recommend staying in John's place.
When we arrived at the condo, we discovered that it had not been cleaned since the last guests. (There had been a miscommunication between owner and cleaning service.) We left a message for John. While we were waiting for him to call us back, we decided to book a hotel for the night since it was getting late. It was quite a stressful ordeal (it was complicated by the fact that we had our dog with us) and we wasted our entire first night dealing with it. HOWEVER, John was very apologetic and got someone over to clean that night. He was easy to work with and very reasonable. He refunded our money (minus about $70-which I think was the airbnb fee?) and graciously offered to let us stay the rest of the weekend free. We returned to the condo the next day and had a nice time. We liked the location a lot. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, canal street/french quarter and the National WWII Museum. The appliances are a bit old and dingy, but overall it is reasonably clean. The bed is very comfortable.
GREAT LOCATION! Perfect for attending my conference at the convention center barely 4 small city blocks away. It was nice for my husband to have a loft atmosphere to relax in with a kitchen and living room when I left early for classes and meetings. It's close to several awesome local restaurants and cool art galleries. We found the place to be clean and presentable. The only issue we had was with finding the key upon arrival. It was in a tiny lock box / padlock on the chain link fence bordering the parking lot. It was dark and very late when we arrived, and a car was partially blocking the fence which was a little frustrating. The appliances and loft itself are a little older than what you could expect staying in a hotel nearby, but the price can't be beat, and we loved the rooftop view! Perfect for having a glass of wine and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay, and John was a great host.
We found the location superb, in the center of the CBD. The condo space was appealing and the bed was very comfortable. John even had some toiletry items in the bathroom, and basic kitchen necessities. We would highly recommend John as a host. His condo is an excellent value. We hope he will host us in the future.
John is a very understanding person. I ended up not coming to New Orleans due to the tropical storm. The payment for the stay had already processed, however John refunded me (minus the airbnb charges of course). It was very noble of him to do and it was much appreciated. Whenever I can reschedule my visit I hope his place is available so I meet him and thank him in person.
John was the perfect host. His place is conveniently located and the loft itself is wonderful/comfortable bed. He seems to be a truly nice and accommodating person.
