My Dad met the hosts, and they were very helpful. The patio is BEAUTIFUL! The apartment is very lovely, every need anticipated. I'd love to move in permanently. Will return when in Port Angeles again.
I stayed here for 3 nights with my parents while doing some hiking in Olympic National Park - Randy and Janae were great hosts and the apartment was a perfect spot to stay! The apartment is quiet and private, well equipped and is in a convenient location just off the highway in Port Angeles. A great spot to relax and unwind, would definitely come back again!
This lovely apartment was just as described and perfect for our anniversary weekend. The hosts had put purple lilacs out on the table for us, so special since that was what we had at our wedding 19 years ago. We enjoyed the patio off the front of the apt., a bonfire and the sound of the creek running behind was a great way to unwind after a day of hiking/sightseeing.
A nice a cozy place to unwind. Close to Port Angeles and major shopping stores like Safeway and Walmart. Enjoyed every minutes of our stay. If you want peace and quiet, thats the perfect place for you.
Janae and Randy were our friendly neighbors during our stay, helpful and unobtrusive, but there if you need them. This place is a castle with an amazing array of amenities ideal for an extended stay or relaxing after a day of exploring. We could have easily holed up here for weeks with the full kitchen and patio with barbecue and fire pit but alas, only had a few days to linger. The location is convenient for your base camp to explore the Olympic Peninsula. There is a grocery store about a half mile away for stocking up the kitchen if you want to eat in or make the short drive to Port Angeles with plenty of eating options.
We brought our bikes and rode a section of the Olympic Discovery Trail from Sequim to Port Angeles and on to the Elwah river. This is a really nice section of trail for folks who don't like to ride on the same roads as cars and the scenery can't be beat. Hidden gem: Ediz Hook, bike, walk or drive to enjoy seabirds galore and harbor seals.
My wife and I stayed here for three nights and have to say that the hosts' description is quite accurate. This place is easy to find just off US 101 in Port Angeles and is a great location for all the entrances into Olympic National Park.
We didn't ask for anything special of Randy and Janae, but just talking to them, they gave the impression they would go out of their way to give you special help.
The ONLY thing I could suggest as an improvement to the apartment is that the hosts would invest in a modern TV and DVD system, since they advertise this feature in their description. The old tube TV there has fuzzy picture and muddy sound, and not having a DVD remote means a lot of trouble when you have to FF, RW, or Pause. A new hi-def 24" TV and DVD now cost only about $200 combined.
Thanks Randy and Janae for a very nice stay.
Got the new tv and blu ray with a remote...it was on the list of updates .. now it is done...Thanks for the review and the shove to get with it!!! Janae and Randy
Immaculate, tasteful, comfortable, well-organized and private 1 bedroom apartment. Host provided clear directions and instructions; easy to find location not far from highway. Private entrance off of back courtyard overlooks a beautiful, deep creek gorge. We enjoyed our stay!
My boyfriend and I are showing two of our friends around the PNW and changed our plans from camping to staying indoors. Our hosts accepted our request to stay quickly, gave us great directions, and getting into the apartment was very easy! Great place to stay for the night, close to Port Angeles, plenty of amenities. We had a great time!
Janae and Randy greeted us as we arrived and were available by phone if we needed any thing. We enjoyed our time here and this a great place to use as a home base. It is quiet and clean and the kitchen well stocked to cook meals. The bed was just a little firm for us but we made the best of it. We would stay again and would recommend this spot to other travelers.
Everything was amazingly beautiful!
