I really enjoyed the flat. Clean, open and everything I needed. Very convenient for walking to downtown. Kate had extras in the fridge in case I needed something too, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I'll definitely stay here again!
The urban cabin is a very well re-constructed studio apartment with high ceilings, laid out to take utmost advantage of the space, and surprisingly quiet. I stayed there alone and felt safe and happy. It's walking distance to WEBS, through downtown Northampton, and you could probably fetch something from NE Coffee Roasters in your PJ's. It was early spring with one fine late-afternoon I was able to spend in the sunshine in the side-garden. The kitchen and bathroom had everything you could want. I would definitely stay there again -- especially in the summer or fall!
Kate was quick to respond to our request to rent one of her places in Northampton. Her talents as an artist were evident throughout the place. The colors, rugs, pottery and general design were lovely and functional. She is a talented interior decorator. I was surprised at the location of the cabin as it adjoins a parking area behind a large clapboard apartment house. Once inside, however, that blacktop world pretty much disappeared.
Unfortunately, due to the cool weather, we couldn't take advantage of the nicely fenced and large garden area.
The urban cabin was tucked away within walking distance if downtown. Parking was easy and safe. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. We hope to come back in warmer months and take advantage of the garden/firepit.
Very beautiful apartment. Kate is a great host. She really does a great job of making the place feel like a home. It's clean, huge, and quiet. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the valley.
Convenient, clean and comfortable. Kate very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you for a very cozy place in the heart of Northampton. Had a wonderful time with all necessary items. Very clean place. Thanks Kate!
Kate has a lovely apartment. It's very roomy, clean, private, and set up well for airbnb. It's a short walk into town, maybe 10 minutes. Kate supplied everything we needed including a lovely guide to Northampton, brochures for the museum and surrounding parks, towels, breakfast foods, and first-aid. Highly recommended!
The cottage is great - it's surprisingly serene and peaceful given that it's basically in a parking lot behind a couple of other buildings. That's not a downside though - there's a free parking space for your car right outside the front door! Inside it's very pretty and tastefully decorated, and they have made great use of the space, with a sleeping area, sitting area, and kitchen/dining area. Bathroom is tastefully appointed as well. Everything was of very nice quality, very clean and well-prepared. I was there in March but it was quite cold at night, in the 30s, and the wall heater kept the place warm. Walking distance to the downtown area of Northampton. Communication was easy and prompt, and everything went perfectly smoothly. It really is a little oasis! I loved it, and was sad to leave.
kate and jim were sweet, wonderful guests...
they are welcome back any time!!
Kate was a very nice and uncomplicated guest. Unfortunately we couldn't spend much time together but she's always welcome here! We really can recommend her as a guest.
I wasn't home when Kate and her husband, Jim, stayed at the house, so I didn't have the pleasure of meeting them. But Kate was perfect in all of her communication and I felt 100% comfortable having her and JIm at the house.
Kate & Jim were great guest easy to communicate and very respectful of the place, I won't hesitate on hosting them again I strongly recommend them.
