We had a lovely stay at Victoria and Peter’s place in the breezy meadows of Bovina. Great old barns surround the property. Sunny yourself is made easy with lots of places to be lazy –from the two porches, the collection of lounge chairs in out on the lawn and sunroom itself. And there’s a big kitchen and a big tv to enjoy. Yes, there is a sauna—upstairs in the home made spa bathroom.
Victoria and Peter were helpful and kind opening their home to us. Their place is perfect mix of shabby chic and down home charm.
Instagram heaven :)
Vicki and Peter were extremely hospitable and inviting. A great place if you are wanting to get away from the big city vibe. We will be looking to come back and rent the whole place with a group of friends next time.

Thanks for the great review Luke! Sydney harbor this morning in total fog did you see it? :)
Victoria's place was comfortable and cozy and was in a great location. Everything including key exchange went smoothly. Victoria even left me a list of places to check out and there was juice, milk, cereal and even Swiss chocolate welcoming us! The bed was so comfortable as was the couch! It was broiling outside but the ac worked fast and perfect. The shower was awesome as well. I honestly felt like I was staying at a friend of the family's house.
So, if you are going to NYC and want to feel like a real new Yorker stay at victoria's place. One block and you are at the subway. Two blocks...zabars and big nick's....tons of food, shopping, buses, museum of natural history etc etc! I almost wish I could make visiting NYC and staying at victoria's an annual family tradition.
Victoria's and Peter's place was ideal! The location was fantastic, very close to the subway, close to Central and Riverside Park and many great restaurants. There was plenty of space for the two of us, wonderful kitchen and a good-sized bathroom. Victoria left us a helpful list of local restaurants and cafes and things to do. It was really easy to set up the rental with her. I would recommend staying here in a heart-beat! Thanks again Vicki and Peter!
"Comfy and Cozy" it was, and at a great location, too, just a block away from the 79th street / Broadway subway lines.
Although on a busy avenue, the flat is quiet. We found a homely atmosphere and where surprised to find so many personal items in the place.
What I particularly appreciated was the great communication with Victoria who did what was agreed to in a fast and very friendly manner (helping us with the transfer from the airport, transmission of the keys, indication of where/what to eat, to go, to see in the neighborhood).
I would say that the flat was a little bit dark and that there was not too much space available in cupboards/bathroom to leave our stuff, but when you stay a week that is not a problem, really. Also, we haven't found a vacuum cleaner/broom, nor a stopper for the kitchen sink which made it a bit difficult to keep the place tidy.
Overall, I did not regret having stayed in this flat and would recommend it to anybody wanting to visit New York City and one of its nicer neighborhoods. A big hug to Victoria, too!

We had a great stay in a great apartment! The location is so convenient--stores, shops, and subway all within steps. Viki could not have been more accommodating from start to finish. She also left us a great list of restaurants and shops they recommended. It was a real pleasure to stay in this apartment--and it is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. Highly recommended! Thank you so much, Viki!
This is a very comfortable apartment in a lovely area of NYC - we really enjoyed shopping for food (lots of choices in this neighbourhood) and making meals in Victoria's kitchen. It's a sun-filled sitting room and great for reading. We walked to museums and opera and theatre - long-ish walks, of course, but the subway and bus are also nearby if you don't like walking as much as we do! We would definitely stay here again.
This is the first review I have written for airbnb, and I must say that if all the accomodations are like this, I am through with hotels!
Beautiful, clean and in an excellent location. We had a great time and would love to stay there again some time!
Viki and Peter are the absolute best! Their apartment is truly "Comfy and Cozy", and the neighborhood can't be beat for fun shopping and dining. Hope we have a chance to stay there again in the near future. We definitely recommend them as hosts and their place with 5 stars plus!!
My girlfriend and I l(phone number hidden)ed this place and the super location. The apartment is full of Viki and Peter's creative and eclectic personal touches and has huge charm as a result. Viki and Peter themselves are warm, welcoming folks and really made us feel at home. They really want you to enjoy NYC and their neighbourhood and left lots of useful tips - we couldn't do'em all unfortunately! I loved hanging out the window watching the life on Broadway go by, but this is a residential neighbourhood so the evenings were not as noisy and gogogo as downtown was, making it a real pleasure to come "home" for a cuppa and a sitdown after a long, footsore day. Highlights of the area - walks along the Hudson and Central Park, the fresh warm bagels (I will never look at a bagel the same...) and Zabar's - oh Zabar's. Sorry Viki we never went to a restaurant, we wanted to try everything in Zabar's! What a great place - and experience! oh - and Filene's nearby for the discounts. Yoiks, puts our "discount" stores to shame. And New Yorkers themselves - friendly wherever we went; I have to add customer service is second to none. There's too much to comment on ...if you can, go - you're crazy not to go to NYC at least once in your life and this is a wonderful little place to stay. We'll both be back!
Victoria and Peter are wonderful guests. Super thoughful and left my place in tip-top shape. They are welocme back, (including their sweet cats), anytime.
It was a pleasure having Peter, Victoria and their cats at the house. They were lovely, sweet, kind people. They left the house tidy and clean. They are welcome anytime!
Victoria and her husband were wonderful guests! She was super easy to communicate with to coordinate schedules, respectful of the apartment and left it in perfect condition. There where no issues during their stay and I would love to host them the next time they come to NYC. I highly recommend as a guest to any host.
Also, if you are lucky enough to be offered one of Victoria's homegrown tomatoes, take it! They are delicious.

thanks Kimberly! Think of your place often!
My first visit to the beautiful city of Manhattan was completed by staying in this amazing and cozy apartment on Broadway and 78th! I am a college student at Arizona State and as soon as I arrived to this apartment I felt right at home. The neighborhood is quite friendly and a perfect location for dining out, shopping, or just taking a walk and site seeing. After enjoying the busy city streets, I appreciated the atmosphere this apartment had to offer. There is a beautiful den/room with french doors perfect for reading or catching up on any work; the living room is completed with great windows and views overlooking the block, a comfy bedroom with plenty of space for belongings, as well as a lovely and clean bathroom with a giant old fashion tub! The best feature of this apartment is the unique and cute kitchen. I spent my whole weekend cooking up great meals while enjoying the television located right in the kitchen! I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking to escape and enjoy the cozy surroundings in the center of a nonstop city! I cannot wait to come back here and visit again :)
