My wife and I stayed at Mary's condo for the weekend while attending the Dunedin Highland Games. This was our first Airbnb experience and it worked out perfectly for our needs. Although we did not meet Mary in person, she was an excellent, friendly host. Communication was easy using phone and email, and she was flexible with check-in and check-out times. The condo was clean, pleasant, and conveniently located. We especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the pool/fountain/green area. This rental was a great value and we would definitely stay here again. We always enjoy visiting Dunedin, but staying here made it even better.

Mary's place in Dunedin was very comfortable and accommodating. I stayed for 2 weeks in February and the weather was cooler than expected but I did eventually get to sit out on the balcony and listen to the water feature just below. Very calming and quiet, beautiful setting. Mary welcomed me and showed me all I needed to know. Washer and dryer were also available which was great for a 2 wk. stay. Close to downtown in a gated area. Easy to get around. Dunedin is beautiful, lots to do and see. Great restaurants and outdoor market every weekend during winter months. I absolutely fell in love with the chaise lounge chair! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING MARY :)
Our short stay began with a friendly chat over a welcoming glass of bubbly with our gracious hostess, Mary. What a lovely introduction.
After giving us the tour and a heads up on access to the property, great recommendations for the local dining and attractions, and her contact details if we needed anything, Mary left us to settle ourselves.
The apartment was secure, clean, homely and well equipped including a reverse cycle air-conditioning system, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
A couple of points to note is that the bed is in fact a full not a queen, with a luxurious feather/down comforter. Wireless internet access while available, was slow during peak times.
The location is a very big plus. It's only a few minutes walk to water's edge, the Pinellas Trail which goes for miles and good restaurants ("The Living Room" on Main Street has excellent food in a relaxing yet happening, environment). Also, it's only a short drive to the Salvador Dali museum in St Petersburg - well worth a visit.
Thank you for opening up your home to us, Mary.
Corinne and Tim
Thanks Corinne and Tim,
It was a great pleasure meeting you as well. I have changed the bedding description.
I am glad you had a good time!
Carol met us at the property and was lovely and accommodating. The condo is clean and modern, a nice 10-minute walk to downtown or 3 blocks over to the bike trail. I neglected to notice in the property description that the available wifi is actually in the clubhouse nearby, not in the condo itself, but we could actually get reception most of the time when sitting on the patio :) There is basic cable TV and a small but very nice kitchen with everything you could need. Plenty of closet space. Do note the bed is a double, not a queen as listed.
Mary is a thoughtful, gracious and experienced airbnb host. I felt like a guest in her home.
Her condo was just as described/pictured in the listing (quiet, clean, comfortable), and I felt tangibly and intangibly welcome there. The kitchen had everything I needed to start my week stay, plus some unexpected treats.
An umbrella left by the front door proved useful one morning. Magazines, games are available as well as tv and radio.
I used to be a potter, and really enjoyed the raku vases and vessels she had in the living room!
It's just a short walk to Dunedin's Main Street, which has many charming shops, galleries, and restaurants. Also a short walk to the water and to the Pinellas Trail (a rail trail that runs the length of Pinellas County).
I would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Mary!
Thanks so much Joan-Claire!
I stayed at Mary's condo while visiting a friend in Dunedin. It is very nice, pretty much as the pics show. The unit is next to an attractive open area with a waterfall, trees, and the pool. The complex is gated, but the gates are open during daylight hours. The surrounding neighborhood is very nice, very quiet. It is about a 15 minute walk up to Main Street where there are many restaurants and bars. The marina is about the same distance and the stone crab festival was going on. There is always a festival of some sort going on. Mary left nice goodies in the fridge for me, which was an unexpected treat. I will definitely consider staying there again my next trip to Dunedin.
The Comfy Room was accurate to its name. The neighborhood is beautiful; quiet, quaint and a quick walk to downtown. The Host are great, no complaints.
