Currently living in Seattle, WA. I am a graduate student of mathematics at the University of Washington. When I am not teaching or researching, I like to read, play guitar, go to shows or movies, cook. I have two roommates that I love to spend time with. We cook together, chat about life, and they bring me to lesbian dance parties.
I grew up in Minnesota, went to college there, then left to Kyoto, Japan and lived there for 5 years. I tried my hand at bartending, translating, programming for work. During that time I was also a drummer in a band. I loved my time there but eventually felt like moving back to the states. In 2007 I joined the Al Franken campaign for senate in Minnesota and worked on that until the summer of 2008, when I then moved to Seattle for graduate school. I am enjoying life in the Pacific Northwest. The city is filled with great music, movies, restaurants, and is surrounded by beautiful nature.
