New to New York
At the time I met Vanessa, she was looking to find a place of her own and get off this site. After our initial booking on Airbnb, she asked to stay longer. I blocked other bookings in order to accommodate her since it would be difficult to find a place for a woman and three children--by that time I thought I was doing something to help out a friend. My sister and I also tried to help her find a place for good. When it came time for her to pay for the time we confirmed, she delayed and postponed. Ultimately, she left the apartment a mess with a sink full of dishes, pots full of food, and a balance that it looks like she never intended to pay. (Can't forget to mention that while she was there she thought it was ok to put an airbed in the common area even though she had only booked a room.) I held off for a while, hoping to hear back from her, but heard nothing. I assume she found the place of her dreams, but unfortunately she hurt a few people along the way. I have really never seen anything like this before. According to the roommate at the time, the last thing he heard from her was "i have to be a mother now". Running through people who try to help is not the behavior of any good mother I know. It was an unfortunate experience. I do not recommend her as a guest in your home.
Vanessa and her family were wonderful guests to have. Vanessa is one fantastic lady and I'm so happy we've met! She took wonderful care of our loft and our cats. :)
Vanessa was a wonderful guest & left the apartment in great condition. I welcome her back anytime
