Very disappointed by the experience. This apparently quiet place is in fact a nightmare to get some sleep... Surrounded by roosters, there is also a dog at the end of the no through way barking all night. This is it's role, to dissuade people to get in that corner (from the dog owner I went to see at 3 am because his dog was endlessly barking since a couple of hours.)
The location is ok, the staff as well, but endless night with roosters singing even at night and this dog barking even when no one is around made a terrible 3-night experience. Hostel should consider having a talk with neighbours if they want to keep they business on.
Pretty good, they will not reply to you at all via Airbnb. Lots of rooms and lots of people coming and going.
They have a separate branch of rooms 1/2 block away down an alley.
The bathroom could have smelled better but otherwise it was great.
Nice pool area and good free breakfast included.
Good price, good food, nice staff, clean room. Overall a good stay in Kuta.
Prima, kwaliteit, prijsverhouding goed. Rustigge ligging. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Konden helaas geen intbijt maken omdat we een galf uur te laat waren.
it is good place. They clean the room every day.not very far the Legian street.
everything clean, nice breakfast, friendly staff!
If you need budgeting place to stay during your trip in Bali.. This could be nice place fr you.. it's walking distance to Kuta & Legian as tourist spots and close enough to Seminyak too.. They waitress are very friendly.. Reception so so..Food not really good.. but thats ok since lots restaurants & warung near by..
I come to Bali often for business reason, and like to stay in different hotels. Well..I ll start with finding the lodge, the lodge is location hidden behind the warung/restaurant off the main st and is actually the reception..the warung/restaurant doesn't exist only for the tax man. I booked twin view pool room (US$18) ended up with tiny double room in the main house of the lodge. I wasn't to keen to stay..was about to find another hotel but decided to stay.. cause the nice lady of the reception was to nice and very poligatic and will remove me to my actual booking room the next day. Here are the list what you will find in your room: Big fat TV with only local chanel with portable antenna; WIFI works when you the only guest left on site; No essential only toilet paper; poor quality on linen and towels; you will feel the spiral spring on your spring bed; The tap regulator for hot & cold shower works occasionally ; the bathroom looks in need a good scrub ; The staffs are super nice; the pool magnificent; breakfast (toast, eggs, fried noodle, watermelon, orange syrup) tea/coffee from 6-9:30. Over all ...Its a good value for budget hotel....if leisure your reason to come..to Bali I suggest to spend an extra $10/night to get nicer & new 3*** hotel near by. The lodge is most suitable for backpackers..in my opinion. NOW the big question is ...will I come back? NO. NB: there are hundreds Ketut in Bali but to find the Ketut is a puzzle:)
I really enjoyed staying at Ketuts place. However there might be some aspects you want to consider : + really nice
+ clean room with ac
+ 10min walk to the beach
+ close to bars, shops, nightlife
+ free breakfast
- loud roosters
- no wifi in the room
- music from the street
My partner and I stayed here for 11 days total and we couldn't have had a more memorable and relaxing time. All the staff are so polite and will assist you 24/7. The breakfast was amazing and we woke up to smiles and a delicious plate every morning. The pool area was surprisingly clean and the music was a relaxing plus. One downside would be the slow wifi, but you just had to be patient with loading things and sending emails, but that was blindsided by the rest of the positivity and hospitality of these amazing hosts.
There are a few restaurants near by that serve veeeeery cheap yet again delicious food. The nightlife and beaches in Kuta feel prettt exhausting during the day since there isn't much shade for 20 or so minutes, but it's a really nice walk at night when its cooler. There's a few convenience stores (24hours) about a 5min walk from the place also with ATMs, which was useful.
Overall, this place is a breath-taker for the amount of money you're paying. If you're on a budget, but still want that hotel luxury experience, you won't regret staying with Ketut (:
