Stephanie was super helpful on my first night in town as I was trying to figure out how to get to her place from the airport. She has a really lovely and cozy space, and is delightful to just chat with. The use of her bike was so helpful for exploring the city, and allowed me to have a really amazing trip!
Stephanie was a great host! I had such a nice time at her home. I really loved the neighborhood also. She lent me her bike which was also really nice.
Stephanie was great!! We were there for Mardi Gras and her house was an oasis from the chaos of the French Quarter! Quite, clean and cozy!
Stephanie was awesome! My trip was only two day but the stay was very accommodating. Stephanie provided towels, my own space located on the upper level of her loft and advice for getting around the city. She also provided a bike, which made commuting to central city and prospect nola 3 venues fairly easy. I'd definitely recommend others to stay here if you're looking for a comfortable spot to crash.
The space was just as described, but even more dramatic and comfortable. A quiet retreat from the active city. Very secure and in perfect spot! Felt very comfortable over the holidays here and Stephanie even put up a Christmas tree for our stay :) she is very relaxed and easy to communicate with. We stayed 10 nights and it was great :)
Stephanie was a fantastic host who was super helpful and sweet! She is quite organized with a check in sheet and some additional information on the refrigerator. In general, Stephanie was very available for any/all questions and even came out to meet me when I faced some bike trouble in the evening. Using her loaner bike was also a huge added bonus that saved alot of money and time, while she had a twin sized mattress set up that was definitely much more comfortable than an air mattress. The loft indeed is a bit high up, and probably not recommended if you are coming home drunk each night, but it all felt very stable along with the ladder. The cats were not at all a nuisance and were super cute as well! She has a good amount of essentials, such as towels, if you need anything, and it was great to get some laundry done as well to head back with a fresh set of clothes after all of that Southern humidity!
Bywater was a lovely and adorable neighborhood that for this NYC girl felt very quiet but seems to invite a lot of awesome artisans and young professionals. I felt generally safe there even riding late night with the bike, but it is worth doing a bit of research and knowing where not to go, just like in any city (Stephanie will definitely let you know). Her building is also part of a great artist community housing complex that is gated, well-lit, and with friendly neighbors as well, who I saw were also sometimes sitting outside at night, so it felt comforting to see a few people around. The one time I did take a cab back it was a very affordable $10 from Frenchman Street and a very quick ride over.
Definitely recommended if you are traveling solo who needs a quick place to stay and don't mind the open loft space or need a lot of privacy.
We had an amazing time in New Orleans this weekend! Stephanie's place is in a great neighborhood -- off the beaten path enough that we felt like we were in a real city, but close enough to walk to music clubs, restaurants, cafes, etc.
The apartment itself was very comfortable, but it did smell a little like cat. We didn't spend much time there because we were having such a great time exploring the city!
Staying at Stephanie's was definitely a good decision. She lives in a secure, artist loft compound about 10 mins (car ride) from French Quarter. There are plenty of small corner markets and food spots in the surrounding area, easily accessed with her bike you can borrow! The loft is easily made private, cool in temp and comfy with a twin mattress and hammock. Hope y'all enjoy like I did! ☺
I had a nice stay at Stephanie's place. It was easy to communicate with her.
The room was as described: on an open mezzanine but well placed sheets give you a relatively good privacy. The mattress is very comfy. The cats may go up there sometimes. The neighborhood is very pleasant. It's about 30 min by walk to the French Quarter but it's a very nice stroll. You can also take the bus but it doesn't run often. Overall, it's a good place to stay and allows you to see more of New Orleans than the French Quarter.
Stephanie's place is in the perfect location, in a safe, friendly and colourful neighbourhood 20 minutes walk and 10 minutes bus ride from the French Quarter and streetcars to other interesting areas of the city. It's a relaxing apartment with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Stephanie was a great host, low key and good company, always ready to help out. I had a great stay in this amazing city.
Awesome guest! Stephanie kept everything clean, and where they were. I didn't even notice she was here. She is welcome to stay here again if she is in town, and I would recommend her to others.
