I am a literary editor and sometimes photographer who lives in a loft apartment in Chicago, IL, with my lovely wife and even lovelier chihuahuas (2 of them in fact, though one is also part dachshund).
I enjoy traveling to new places and avoiding tourist traps. I'm a social butterfly and was raised by my loving parents to be respectful of my hosts, to clean up after myself, and never ever to wear out my welcome.
While I have an outgoing, friendly personality, I am also a fairly quiet person who is more than happy to work on my laptop, play Words With Friends on my phone, or lose myself between the pages of a good book. I am cool with pets and people of all types.
When I travel I tend to use my lodging as a place to sleep at night and a stopover point during the day to freshen up. I prefer to spend the vast majority of my time out and about exploring and meeting new people.
When I travel for work I travel alone and I am up early, which forces me to fight against my night owl tendencies.
When I travel with my wife we sleep in a bit and stay out late.
I love breakfast places and will walk a mile for a waffle and a strong cup of coffee. I also enjoy music and literary events and frequently flock to bookstores and music venues at night to take in the local scene.
