This apartment is in a funky, fun, and lively suburb and a good location (for the price) in Melbourne. Ruth (the property manager) was very friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of great suggestions for places to visit during our stay. The neighborhood definitely gets rowdy at night, and the walls/windows are quite thin so I would take that into consideration if you're sensitive to noise as the area doesn't really quiet down until about 5 a.m . Overall, we had a good time.
I was staying at the unit during ironman. You couldn't get a better location for this purpose. The unit is approx 200mts from the finish line and close to great cafés and restaurants.
The unit is clean and tidy as pictured
It was on very short notice when Bridget had accepted the booking. The place was great! My partner and I enjoyed it immensely! It was very homely and had everything you could possibly ever need! The Property Manager who had the keys for the place was really welcoming. The building was very secure and I don't think anymore could be said about how perfect the location was! We definitely took advantage of there being the BBQ out on the balcony. You couldn't ignore the night-life going on over the weekend - literally just outside your window. If anything, it was the night-life itself that made me choose this Apartment. Absolutely Amazing.
The house: It was beautiful, spacious, and well kept. It was very open, big bedrooms, and quiet.
CONS: there was no hot water. We were told on arrival that there would be hot water on our second day, but it never was turned on. It wasn't that big of a deal, since it was so warm out, but would have been nice on the last day to have a hot shower.
The location: a bit further away from the action (bars and restaurants), but a cheap cab ride away nonetheless.
The host: Super responsive, informative and helpful. We were in contact with her and her maid, who greeted us and showed us around.
Overall, I would suggest this place - it's gorgeous & spacious, and very clean!
Place was lovely, clean and great location.
Host was amazing, and nice and easy to work with. Highly recommended
We had a great time staying in Bridget's apartment. It couldn't be any more central to St Kilda. It's right in the party zone, so it can be a little noisy at night. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, it's very clean and modern.
We stayed for one night in the apartment. We are actually from Melbourne (about 1 hour out of the city) and were in the city for a concert and couldn't find a hotel anywhere and were heading to the airport the following day (25 mins away).. We then decided to look on airbnb which we always book when we travel and we weren't disappointed. Easy check in (grab the keys from the bartender downstairs) parking was available across the road at prince of Wales ($25) same as any hotel parking and great location. Right near a tram stop and around the corner from Ackland st. Very clean. Compact but had everything you need. Perfect for a couple and balcony an added bonus especially on a summers night. Thanks for an easy stay Bridget. Will definitely be looking at booking again.
Bridget and Ollie are great communicators, and stayed in touch. The apartment is super cute and just as described. If you are looking for a neighborhood with everything, this is it. You can go to the beach, eat great food, and party into the night, all within a five minute walk of the apartment. W?
great apartment. lovely decor, everything you'd need to have a home away from home in melbourne. tram to central almost at the door. 100 meters to the beach, restaurants and bars and a BALCONY overlooking fitzroy street! it's a winner.
Bridget was very welcoming and stayed in contact with us until we made it to the villa, she also checked on us the next day after our first night. The description and location were accurate as the listing and the villa itself is great. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is good in terms of peace and quiet and it's not a problem to get a taxi to go to seminyak or anywhere you want to go. The only problem we had was that there was no hot water in any of the bathrooms, however the water temperature was still good enough for us to take showers. Overall, good experience and would definitely do it again.
Bridget was a great guest, no issues throughout her stay, and the apartment was left very clean and tidy.
Bridget Mcgill & Olli were great guests they communicated really well and were a breeze to have. There kids are extremely well behaved and I will be happy to host them any time
It was a pleasure hosting Bridget, it was very easy to communicate with her and although we never met, there were no problems at all.
Bridget was a very easy and friendly guest. Great communicating plans and looked after our apartment very well. Also left out place very clean. We highly recommend Bridget as a guest.
Bridget and Oliver were super guests who had to fly back to Sydney, just as the conversation was getting interesting and so I hope they will be back and stay in touch. Bridget has an amazing range of leather products for sale at her website (website hidden) and Oliver is the excellent pianist from The Cat Empire. The band were down to celebrate the release of the new album and after listening to 6 of the other albums, I am now a convert. All up, great tidy, respectful guests, who I can totally endorse!!
Bridget is a beautiful person whom I have known for many years.
She would make a wonderful host, and her St Kilda apartment is fabulous - always tidy and it's in a great location.
