Great historical inn. I stayed in June , the low season, because skiing is the big business driver, so I had the whole inn to myself...one other friendly guest came in later.
Great rooms, each with private shower, toilet and towels, clean, very quiet, and with Victorian/wild west character close to beautiful lakes, rivers and green mountains, plus a historical museum site for US president Calvin Coolidge who was from Vermont.
I recommend Salt Ash Inn highly.
cute inn, Al was very friendly and even shipped back some personal belongings to me that i'd left. Convenient location to okemo and killington!
The Salt Ash Inn was conveniently located in Plymouth, Vt which is very accessible to the following mountains - Killington, Pico, and Okemo. We stayed in the very charming and comfortable Notch Room. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! I had a flat tire and one of the staff members gave me the heads up. Almost forgot to mention... the food was phenomenal - especially the profiteroles, Thanks Robin! =)
Comfortable place to stay but not very clean bed linen and towels were fine but the room needed a good dust.
I Never met the host ,he had a brief word with my husband.
No breakfast, no facilities at all really about 11 miles to the nearest place to eat.
The place to stay in winter for a sking holiday but not at any other time. Would not stay again.
The Saltash Inn is a very interesting place to stay. Full of quaint things, almost like a little museum and the rooms look like out of a history book.
The bedlinen is fantastic and has nothing historic, it is incredibly smooth and soft and new.
The location is very good, near to woods, lakes and parks.
The only thing I missed was hot water kettle to make a cup of coffee.
Al is very friendly and helpful, do stay there if you are in the vicinity.
Once Al was aware of us trying to contact him, he (email hidden)ry responsive, friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable, the place was rustic, and it was close to a ton of stuff to do.
Great location and great host. Al was super responsive and super helpful. Stayed in the Coolidge room, which was spacious and ocelot decorated.
Al was very cheerful and helpful and the lodgings were great. It was very close to the Okemo Mountain Resort.
A very nice fireplace for warming boots and games in the common room.
Al was extremely friendly and very welcoming. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay at the Salt Ash again!
If you are looking for a place to stay and meet new people search no more!!! We booked our trip in the last minute and arrived very late (around 2 AM). However, Al was extremely friendly and did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The Salt Ash Inn has a great feel and its is hands down the place you want to come back to after a day of ski or a long hike.
If you are not familier with the area (like we were) don't worry Al will take care of you and tell you everything you want to know. The place (email hidden) with a great pool table, a T.V. and a buautiful fire place, which makes you wanna stay there forever. Furthermore, we were surprised by the delicious complimentary breakfast that was served at the kitchen every morning!!!
