My daughter and I felt welcomed even before we arrived as our Host, Mark, kept in touch concerning our arrival and called to make sure we arrived, found everything satisfactory once inside the cottage. He has a very helpful and informative folder with details where to dine, buy groceries, find Farmer's Markets and Urgent Care Facilities, and interesting historical facts about The Venice Canals America. Great stuff to get yourself oriented right away.
We loved that his house included cruiser bikes and Canoe. We cycled all over Venice and the beach, excellent way to appreciate all the charming bungalows and architecture of old California. The cottage had a well equipped kitchen for the foodie who loves to cook. Alas, our stay was too short so we never had the opportunity to prepare a meal and dine outside enjoying the view of the Canal. However we did canoe thru the Canal as well as exploring on foot. I'm definitely planning on returning to stay every time I come to the LA, if it's not already booked!
Fantastic spot - perfect location. Mark was a great host - tonnes of tips about the area. Cottage is well appointed with everything you will need to enjoy your time in Venice.
Everything was exactly as described, excellent location, delightful property and everything straightforward and made to feel very welcome. Thank you Mark!
The cottage is just wonderful and Mark is the perfect host. Wish I were rich enough to buy it. When you are there no traffic, few people only some ducks and other. Iris.
This is the 2nd time my wife and I have stayed at Mark's cottage on the Venice Canals. We had a wonderful time and are already looking for a reason to go back.
This is a fantastic rental. The space was a dream, comfortable and clean. Mark was a generous and gracious host. My husband and I stayed with our 11-month old daughter. Mark provided a crib and bathing tub for her. Our daughter loved looking at the cranes landing on the canals from the view! We are definitely coming back.
We loved the cottage. Mark was great. Beautiful views and the whether was great.
I booked this lovely cottage for my colleague for an extended business trip in LA. All the previous positive comments stand. It was a real home from home with all visitor needs thought of and provided for. The host was always contactable but never intrusive. Highly recommended.
I booked this cottage for my colleague who had an extended business trip to LA. The beautiful cottage in Venice was exactly as advertised. The description was good and clear. The location couldn't be better and the cottage has lovely views. The host is incredibly attentive and thoughtful to guests needs - lots of towels, kitchen stuff etc so you don't need to bring much or buy anything.
The handover of keys was really good. Very straightforward. The host is always available but never intrusive. It's made for a perfect stay. Communication has been really good and the host was able to accommodate an extension to the stay at quite short notice.
Mark is my dad and I love him and recommend him dearly. He is very punctual, neat, funny, and generous. He's probably the most entertaining guest, or host, you could ever find. That said he can be totally discreet when that's called for.
