My wife and I have know the Hagans (Bob & Karen) since 2003. They are fantastic people, and we visit everytime we go to Charleston. The boat as you would expect from them is in awesome shape, and we have enjoyed visits on it!
Our relationship with Karen goes back to 'bumping' into them while cruising the Bahamas, almost 5 years ago. From the moment we met Karen and Bob on Plein Air, the atmosphere on their boat has always been that of classy relaxation and escape from the normal stresses of life. There are no more gracious hosts, in an atmosphere of resort living on the water. I have spent several nights on the boat with Karen and Bob, and it does not get much better than this!
Karen and I met when I purchased one of her lovely paintings. She was kind enough to reframe it to match my decor and came to my home to help me decide where to hang it! From this business event has grown a wonderful friendship. Not only is Karen a respected painter, but she is also a delightful individual. She has lots of artist friends, as well as local people (like me) who love her impressionist paintings. She has a lovely personality, is easy to chat with, knows Charleston (and the rest of the world) well and, I'm certain, would be a fantastic host on her boat, which is docked at our beautiful West Ashley marina. Don't miss the sunsets here.
Karen is not only a great person, but her background is so diverse that she can communicate on any level and always has a smile on her face and a kind word for any situation. My first experience with she and her husband was about 15 years ago when we were on the same trip to Mexico.
She is also a fine artist and travels the world in search of the right setting.
You will find her a fine hostess with the mostest.
