I'm a designer from the Midwest, now living in San Francisco. I enjoy exploring the city, and living downtown. I also cook, read, and hang out at local coffee shops whenever I get the chance.

Comfortable place, fast internet and it was great to have Netflix too. Nathan is a great host, very quick to respond and to offer any help.
The location of the apartment is great, close to shops, cable car/public transport and nightlife. We would definitely stay here again.
The place was the perfect location for us and it was easy access to anywhere in the city. Apartment was clean and everything was in working order. Nathan was quick to respond whenever we had questions and was incredibly easy to work with. Would certainly stay here again if we're back in the area!
Nathan made check-in and out easy. The apartment is located right in the center of things, near Union Square and across the street from a 24 hour municipal parking lot, so it's very convenient for anyone who needs a place to stash a car, as I did for my one night stay. The apartment is plain but comfortable. I was somewhat put off by the shower, which didn't have good pressure, and was difficult to adjust the temperature; also, the tub had a large orange stain and some mildew. But everything else seemed clean. My short stay and the convenience of staying there, plus Nathan's excellent communications really made up for any deficiencies in my mind. This place worked out extremely well as a conveniently located and comfortable spot for a short stay. I didn't need to use the kitchen, but it appeared well equipped. I would recommend this apartment and Nathan as host..
Nathan is a great host! I didn't meet him, but he gave perfect instructions for getting into his place. It's in an amazing location and very accessible to all of the great SF neighborhoods.
Nathan's place is clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights and it was a perfect place to crash at the end of the night after spending most of the day out and about. It was a little stuffy, but the windows don't have screens and I didn't want to let bugs in. The water temperature in the shower took some time to figure out, but great water pressure. It was a little noisy outside but there's a fan that served as great white noise to block out sirens, buses, etc.
Thanks for hosting, Nathan!

We stayed at Nathan's apartment for 3 nights in September and it was a great location from which to explore San Francisco. It’s right in the heart of Union Square and everything is within walking distance - shopping, eating, cable cars, pick up for various tour companies, etc... location, A+++!
The space is small, but it is fine if you are in SF for just a few days. It works great if you're looking for a place to crash, rest and regroup, and a convenient location from which to explore SF.
If you're a light sleeper, please note that the apartment is on a busy street and right next to the Stockton Tunnel. The noise from traffic goes on late into the night and starts up again early in the morning. If you've just gotten off a long haul flight like we had, you would probably be too tired to notice. I was happy that the toilet was very clean and that the bed was comfortable.
A few complaints: The ventilation is poor, so it does get hot and stuffy in the apartment. The noise off the street and fear of dust and other pollutants would make one hesitant to open the windows.
The cleanliness of the apartment could be better. There was a lot of mildew, mold, and limescale around the bathtub and the tub needs a serious scrubbing. We bought some Chlorox and poured around the bathtub. The dank, mildew smell in the bathroom definitely improved as a result of the Chlorox. We would have scrubbed the tub ourselves but could not find gloves or cleaning sponges/brushes.
The kitchen could have been cleaner (website hidden) utensils and crockery had crusted food on them and the microwave hadn’t been cleaned either. But we didn’t use the kitchen much except for our morning cups of coffee. The blinds in the sleeping area and the kitchen also need a good cleaning. We tried to use the fan, but that hadn’t been cleaned out either, so it kept blowing out dust and lint. So it was better left off.
If Nathan works on these small but important issues, for sure, his place would be anyone’s 1st choice. I have sent him some comments/suggestions in a private feedback form.
Nathan was great in keeping in touch. We did not meet him, but he kept checking in from the moment we arrived to ask if we were okay and whether we had any problems. I really appreciated that.
Overall, we had a good stay.
Nathan was a great communicator. Didn't get to see him, but he instructions were accurate.
Apartment was exactly as described! Very convenient location in Union Square, we were able to walk everywhere. Nathan was a great host and was flexible with our check in time, which we appreciated!
Perfect location, most sites were easily walkable.

Nathan is a great guy and host. His place is ideal for people who want the real downtown experience in San Francisco, or if you are in town for a conference it will be right next to everything.
