Response from Nola:
I'm sorry you felt this way Marike. Marike is angry because I only gave her back half of her security deposit. She stayed with me for a couple of months. At the end of her stay she was very flakey. She did not give me proper notice of her departure. All future long term guests (guests that stay longer than 29 days) should look at airbnb's cancellation and alteration policy. She caused me a lot of hassle and she went back and forth on her plans and her word as she wanted her father to stay at the apartment. Her words above are an attack on me because I kept half of her security deposit. If you look at the other reviews below you will see that it is a great location-- very safe. At the apartment I do have a cleaning lady that comes in and cleans. And as you can see I do keep the prices very low in order to make sure everyone has an affordable, clean, safe place to stay in NYC. As far as the exterminator-- an exterminator comes monthly. So the pest problem has been taken care of. The living room is really for one person-- however there is an air mattress for people who have guests. At $25 dollars a night it is very affordable. And if you bring one guest and you share the price its $12.50 a person. This is a price that cannot be beaten in NYC. I hope you'll stay at my apartment and not take Marike's bad review as a reflection of me or the apartment. I am very honest, helpful and care about my guests. However-- I cannot be flaked out on and taken advantage of-- which unfortunately is how Marike treated the situation. Renting as a long term guest-- one has to follow the rental guidelines-- please make sure to read-- airbnb's guidelines carefully. And again-- Marike's words are out of malice and not based on any truth.
