Born and raised in Austin, TX- I fell in love with Chicago about 5 years ago. I love living downtown and the balance of the city is JUST my style.

Great little apartment in perfect location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can recommend Jen's flat to anyone wanting to stay in downtown Chicago.
Jen was great even though we never crossed paths she's did a favor and let us arrive early at 11am for check in. Great location, within walking distance of lots of things to do...
Great host, great place. Location is amazing and easy to access. I took the Blueline right from Ohare into downtown and walked to the place. Its a little long of a walk, so you might want to grab a cab. The river is literally a block away. Great to walk down in the morning and just relax on a bench. Would definitely recommend!
This is the first time using Airbnb and not our last time. We drove from mpls. We parked at Cumberland on the Blue Line. It was so easy and we didn't have to worry about our car or dealing with Chicago traffic! The location was perfect we walked to the pier, shopping and took $10 cab rides to the planetarium and union park for pitchfork! It does feel like you are staying in someone's home I must warn you but it didn't really bother us since we were barely there. Balcony was nice and had a pretty good view of the city and the water. I liked that she had the key in a lock box at the front desk. Overall a great quick trip to Chicago thanks to Jen's Studio near the pier!
Jen's place was great. Very good location, close to the loop, close to Michigan Ave, close to Navy Pier. Air conditioning for those hot Chicago days. Well-appointed condo building with doorman. Access to a gym as well. I would recommend it for anyone looking to stay in a central location downtown.
Jen offered a very flexible check in and check out time which was extremely helpful for me who really had no idea of arrival or departure times when booking the condo, due to my work. She provided all sorts of information on things to do, how to get to her place and just general logistics of everything Chicago.
There was a welcome bunch of gifts that we did not partake in but the snacks looked great just never played into our coming and goings. Jen even checked in on us to ensure things were going ok.
Her place was the perfect size for the group I was traveling with (3 adults). I slept on the bed which was comfortable, some sort of memory foam. There was a foldout sofa that another slept on and stated his back did not feel that good sleeping at home in his regular bed. The last person slept on kind of a nook type area which is great for the shorter person they were.
The location was superb. This weekend included walks to Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue, and the Art Institute as well as a short jaunt on the train to Wrigley Field.
The location felt very safe and we did not mind walking around at 3am after a night out or 7am to hunt down some OJ and coffee. There is a grocery store across the street that was delightful as well as a 24 hour subway a block a way which sometimes you just need when you think you don’t need to stop at the diner but then get back and think I may need 2 more bites of food.
Overall it was a great trip and would look to see if this location was available again next time lodging is needed in Chicago.
