Megan was a great host; attentive and very responsive. The space is clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. I recommend staying here!
When we were walking down the hilltop looking for the place matching the address, I said to my partner, “Ooh I’d live there” (because of how charming it looks!) and realized this is actually where Megan’s studio is located. What a pleasant surprise. We had such a lovely time in Megan’s studio. It’s located in such a beautiful area and it was more than we needed for our small anniversary getaway. We had such a positive experience with messaging Megan that it only reaffirmed we HAD to book her place. The actual studio is more than quaint — it’s chic, simple and clean! She was always very easy to communicate with and super accommodating to our stay. We were able to use her record player which is always a big plus to us crate diggers. (Check out Mono - it’s close by, and if you’re willing to travel a bit - we urge you to go to Atomic Records and Freakbeat!) Even though the street is inclined and you can only park across the street, we didn’t have any issues actually finding a spot. The bathtub is amazing but the shower head has great water pressure too. The nice view, the genuine peacefulness and quiet helped us relax and feel very at home. Although we didn’t personally meet Megan, we’re very grateful she welcomed us into her home. We consider this a neighborhood we’d definitely live in so recommending a stay here is a MUST.
As to the barking dog complaint, I heard this little dude maybe twice? They definitely didn’t disturb us whatsoever so I wouldn’t hesitate on making a reservation based on that. Oh and to the white feline beauty we saw hanging around? Goodness, they are the sweetest cat of all time! :)
P.S. To any vegans staying here, Sage Organic in Echo Park is good food if you’re willing to deal with how busy it gets and Localita & The Badasserie downtown has a Thai BBQ sandwich with your name on it.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Megan's studio apartment. Everything was clean and exactly what we needed for a relaxing weekend away. Megan was great in communicating with us via text and offering if there was anything we needed. I would stay here again and recommend to others.
Pros: Nice location, cute decors and friendly host
Cons: Bed sheet is dirty, the dog upstairs bark a lot in the morning.
We enjoyed our 3 nights at Megan's place. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and so quiet. We did miss having a TV since we are 70 year olds and not adept at using the new technology available today. Megan did a great job "entertaining" us with lots of interesting magazines and books to read. Thanks Megan.
The reservation was canceled 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a comfortable stay. The bed was great. The house is on an extremely steep street. We had to park a ways down the hill, and walk up to the house, which was uncomfortable for me, due to a knee injury. The bathroom is quite small for two people to share, but is adequate. Every thing was very clean and neat. We did not meet Megan during our three-night stay.
Megan's apartment was exactly as advertised. Clean, bright, and quiet! Parking was never an issue. While we had no cell phone reception, the wireless network worked perfectly. Megan was a very attentive host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything that we needed. If you are looking for a private apartment in LA, I highly recommend!
I loved staying in Megan's studio. It's in the gorgeous Mt. Washington area on a quiet avenue up a hill (tons of trees and wildlife), that is in a fairly convenient location. Parking was easy and the studio itself was very private and spacious with an adorable kitchen that was great to cook in. Megan has a beautiful and adorable huge dog (which I loved, but those with allergies might want to consider), and one evening the most adorable white kitten mewed in my window (also enjoyable). Megan is rad and easy to communicate with and I ran into her almost every other day during my stay. Hope I get to stay here again! Totally recommend it.
Spent almost a month at Megan's cozy Mt Washington spot. Everything as described, all amenities and things you would need are there for you stay and your close to everything you would want but at the same time tucked away in the hills with great views and privacy. If you're weary of hills beware since street parking is on a hillside but there are always spaces and its easy when you get used to it. Megan was a great host and answered any questions we had about the apartment and the area as well. The apartment is roomy for the size and can accommodate two people comfortably. I would recommend this place to anyone who is staying towards the east side of LA and wants to be a bit secluded but close to highland park, eagle rock, silver lake, echo park - etc.
Wonderful guests, definitely recommend and welcome back anytime
Megan was an easy-breezy, wonderful guest! Talking with her was like talking to a friend. I look forward to having her drop by for a visit or a stay anytime!
Megan was a great guest in our home- totally respectful of our space, friendly and nice to talk to. We hope she really does move out to LA in the future so we can spend more time with Megan and Samantha!
Great communication & an easy to work with guest! We didn't get to meet Megan & Carlos in person but they were delightful to correspondents!
Want to know the best shops, most cozy cafés, and interesting events in the neighborhood? Megan is your source. I've been a friend and culture junky with Megan for many years now and can wholeheartedly recommend her for your next Airbnb experience. Oh, did I mention how cool Sam is too?
Megan is a wonderful friend who is one of the most caring and kind people I know. When she lived in Denver, she was a fantastic host to many AirBnB guests, and so many of them became her friends who she has kept in touch with. She is truly gifted when it comes to listening and understanding others and cares about people genuinely and deeply- no wonder she found her career as a entrepreneurial / life coach. She is fun, easy going and makes friends easily.
She has a unique eye for design and style, and is a great person to get recommendations from on places to go and things to see. If I were to describe her hosting 'style' I would say that it could suite anyone from someone looking for just a clean, reliable, beautiful place to stay to someone looking to meet an interesting, fun person to make a new friendship with.
Megan is super cool creative person with some of the best design taste I know. She can always offer good connections, places to go etc. She always seems to have the vibe on what is in and hip. She is reliable, kind and fun to be around.
I've known Megan for years. She's a stand up gal, I would trust her to be a great host or visitor any day of the week.
Megan is a great hostess. She knows so much about what to do, where to go and how to have a fun time. Fun to talk to, neat & organized, and pleasant to be around. A great place to stay!
Megan stayed at my home; she was very responsible and easy to deal with!
