Born and raised in Los Angeles, but I've lived in the San Francisco area, Boston, and New York City as well. I was a Psychology major as an undergrad and am now working on finishing a Master of Public Affairs (public policy) degree at the University of Texas. My “specialization” is international development - helping developing countries improve their living standards. I love travel and have traveled more than most - mostly in the developing world. I’ve helped manage an eldercare consulting practice, taught conversational English in Japan, been a test prep tutor, delivered restaurant meals.... I have spent a lot of my free time over the years reading non-fiction. I am also very fond of film and have seen quite a few movies; many of my favorites are classic or foreign films. I watch a few comedy TV shows regularly, too, and am a big fan of professional basketball. Lastly, I had a dog for 16 years and love animals.
