While I majored in International Studies and Peace, War and Defense in college, I am currently a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher in San Jose, CA. My husband and I love to hike and explore new areas. Anytime we can, we try to go travel and see a bit more of the world. I love cats, have one myself, and I am not much of a dog fan. My favorite travel destinations are anywhere outside the country. I have been to Hong Kong, Shang Hai, Nanjing, Taiwan, Vietnam, Maccau, Tai Poi, Wu Han, Singapore, and Paris. It is impossible to decide which place I enjoyed the most because each had its own wonders and benefits. My husband and I are both vegetarians. Indian and Ethiopian are probably our favorite cuisines. If I had a life motto it would be something akin to this quote from Theodore Roosevelt: "It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; wh...o strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."
