Friendly and welcoming hostess, keen to make new friends and meet new people.
We had a very pleasant theatre weekend stay using Maureen's place as our base at Stratford. It has good facilities and she is a welcoming hostess.
As previous reviewers have noted, the area is pleasantly quiet, yet within walking distance to everything. Comfortable double bed and good bathroom, and the living room looked very inviting. We ended up spending most of our time in the town centre and the theatre, though, so missed the opportunity to sit in or try the garden! Maureen is a friendly host and respects your privacy. (The cat is friendly and cuddly too.)
Maureen's place is a home from home. She makes you very welcome, provides everything that you could ever need and the location is perfect.
A great place to stay.
I would highly recommend Maureen's for a stay in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Firstly, the room or should I say rooms, Maureen basically let's you have three room to yourself, bedroom, bathroom and lounge room. Nice and big, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Bed was comfy. The bathroom also big, great shower and some basic toiletries like shower wash. Lounge room beautiful with small tv overlooking the back garden. Also let us use the washer and dryer.
Maureen also let us use some of her food, like breakfast cereal, milk, bread and jams.
Maureen was a fantastic host too, she made sure everything was okay, even bought some more milk when we had used it all. She even picked us up from the train station cause she was in the area, and also bought back some pamphlets on things to do in the area.
All in all fantastic stay, would definitely stay again!
Response from Maureen:
Thanks Both that's great! Best of luck with your travelling adventures and your future. Much appreciated.
Enjoyed the stay at Maureen's place, received a warm reception. She was friendly, accommodating and respected my privacy. Her house was neat and clean in a quiet area close to amenities. Would recommend to anyone visiting Stratford Upon Avon for a stay.
Maureen has a very nice flat, with one double bedroom snd a sitting room. The only problem for us was that my grandson was too tall for the camp-bed provided-it would have been fine for the average 12-year-old.
Maureen kindly lent me a bike to go into Stratford on one evening, and was altogether a very kind hostess.
Great place to stay! Walking distance to Royal Shakespeare Theater. Private area of house and Maureen is really sweet and accommodating. Lovely time!
