New York, NY
Tim was very responsive via e-mail in setting up the reservation and providing information for our stay in the week leading up. The house was easy to find, and no problem to reach; I would caution that if you are renting in winter, make sure that your vehicle will be able to handle a steep, winding dirt road in snow. The house had everything that we needed for a retreat from the busy-ness of city life. We enjoyed the beautiful charm of the home, the great smells coming from a crackling fire in the wood-burning stove, delicious meals made on a chef's stovetop, HD movies on a projector/screen, and the beautiful acres of woods surrounding the home. The surrounding towns did not have much to do, but since we were looking for a retreat, that was perfect for us. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others.
This was a beautiful, magical house in a remote location. It had great views and everything we needed. We had 3 kids and 3 adults and it was perfect. We used it as a base to visit family nearby and to go skiing at butternut (30 minutes away). Tim was a great host- very easy going.
This cute, cozy, funky house is perfect for a family with kids. Tons of toys, fully equipped kitchen, warm wood stove, great yard for snowball fights and running around. Quiet and peaceful; We didn't see or hear anyone the whole weekend - just the deer in the backyard!
Tim was an excellent house. We booked the house somewhat last minute and Tim was very responsive and easy to arrange everything with. The house is lovely, quaint, stylish and peaceful. We loved cooking in the big kitchen and having wonderful meals on the deck. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Our stay was fabulous. The house was cozy and perfect for a family with kids. We have a daughter who is 4 and a son who is about to turn 1. The old fashioned swing and tree house, the battery powered toy jeep and the multitude of toys, books and games made this house a magical place for our daughter. We felt like everything was literally at your fingertips. We looked out the window and saw birds in the bird feeder and looked on the counter and there was binoculars. The kitchen was great and nice to cook in with the Viking stove and fridge. Tim was great host and answered all questions promptly and made us feel welcome. All in all- we felt like the house is a happy place that has been really enjoyed by the family. We would love to come back again.
We had a great time here and would definitely come back again. It's a fantastic house in a great location. Plenty to do at the house and even more within a 20 minute drive. The property itself is gorgeous and is a peaceful setting to relax. We were there with our 4-week old baby, and we'd love to bring her back when she's older so she can play with the plethora of toys and games.
This house was such a great find, as there are so many features and amenities not even shown in the listing. Great kitchen to cook in, beautiful open living space, and lots and lots of great personal touches to the house. The hook and pulley from the living room up to the loft bedroom was particularly fun for our kids. Great views, and secluded peace and quiet. Would absolutely stay here again.
Charming house in idyllic surroundings - you just have to miss the blizzard and you'll be fine. Tim was great at accommodating us at the very last minute and very flexible. We enjoyed two great nights watching Star Wars on the projector as we camped next to a blissful fire.
