The best. It was the best. Erin and Andrew were both very helpful leading up to our stay and then once we were on the hill top, we had all the peace and serenity of camping in the middle of the woods. But, unlike regular camping, we slept on the world's most comfortable bed. Couldn't imagine a better way to spend an anniversary.
I had an absolute blast on the ranch with my girlfriend for our anniversary. The property was perfectly tucked away from the main road and so quiet that you could hear nothing but crickets and birds chirping. The tent was nice and clean and the bed was so comfortable! I arranged with Andrew to do a few special things for my girlfriend to make our stay even better and Andrew delivered in the best way possible. I was even more impressed than I could have imagined. Walking around the vineyard, which was about 10 paces away from our tent made for a great daytime adventure.
The local town of Buellton was a quick 10 minute drive down the road and had great places to eat (Industrial Eats) and local breweries (Figueroa Mountain). The location was secluded, but close enough to explore the neighboring towns.
We had a great time overall and would 100% stay with Andrew and Erin again. Thanks again Andrew for being so hospitable and providing us with a memory that will last a lifetime. We could not have asked for a better weekend.
A beautiful location, Erin and Andrew were good hosts that answered all of my questions, and even invited me into their home while Andrew put the finishing touches on the tent. The location is perfectly balanced between civilization's comforts and nature's quiet, but you should bring everything you need to avoid wasting driving time for food and supplies like I did. And the bed, oh the bed! So comfortable and one of those homemade afghans almost made it into my bag.
The only two downsides are lack of adequate shade as you're on the top of a hill, and lack of a fire pit. (The second one is understandably due to fire regulations in the summer) Oh, and me only having one night to experience this site!
What a memorable experience! My husband, two dogs, and I stopped over for a night on our way from LA to SF. We could have stayed in a regular hotel but decided to try out something different, and we're so glad we did. Erin and Andrew are great hosts - the tent is outfitted with almost everything you need. They gave us a really really amazing restaurant recommendation (Industrial Eats in Buellton - crispy pig ear pizza!). I'll admit, I was a bit worried about safety before we arrived. However, when we met Erin & Andrew, we were completely at ease and excited about our stay in their tent. At night, we watched movies on our iPad by candlelight (I know, not completely unplugged) under the stars and walked by the vineyards in the morning. Take a chance on this really unique experience before they move away!
We had an unforgettable experience glamping on this winery/ranch. Our lovely tent was perched up above with delicious views of the grapevines and rolling hilltops of Gypsy Canyon. The tent itself was spacious with a super comfy bed with fluffy comforter and alpaca blankets to keep you warm during the chilly night. The ranch itself is a nice distance away from any busy roads yet close proximity to awesome wine tasting areas like Solvang, Los Olivos, and Lompoc wine ghetto. Looking for a beach? Hit Jalama Beach like we did, just 45 minutes drive west of the ranch, and have yourself a yummy, "world famous" Jalama Hamburger.
Unfortunately we werent able to meet Erin but we did meet Andrew and their dog, Avocado! adorably huge pup! Wish i got to spend more playtime with avocado! Andrew greeted us with friendly smiles and was very hospitable and informed us of all the things to do in the area, where all the good eats are, even offering a bottle of wine since he knew we were too tired to go out and get one before watching the sunset.
I highly recommend this place as the perfect little getaway from urban living and a chance to be free with mother nature, and a comfy bed :)
Both Erin and Andrew were really lovely and accommodated us without much notice. The location of the tent camp was incredible. Really beautiful scenery and the tent was very comfortable.
Erin & Andrew didn't just set us up in a tent. They created an experience. They gave us options to seize the day and we accepted. We went on an adventure with them and were overwhelmed by their enthusiasm and openness to share the day with us. We are so grateful!
The glamping tent itself was perfect. The bed, linens, pillows were very comfortable. The tent was perched on a high hill with a view of the ranch and vineyards. It felt secluded, unlike a glamp/camp site. They set up a grill, chairs, table and even gave us a tote full supplies we would need.
Overall, we highly recommend spending a night or weekend glamping on their ranch. It was a needed getaway. Cheers!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't be happier with our stay with Andrew and Erin! The location - a private area on top of a hill with a beautiful view of their estate - was enough to make this a great experience. Add the ATV (so fun!!!!) and the well furnished tent with a comfortable bed, and you have the perfect stay! But it doesn't end there. Andrew was kind enough to bring a grill up to our location before we arrived. Having that grill there was perfect! We had the most relaxing, beautiful dinner - a golden sunset, some chardonnay, grilled steaks and veggies. Later that night, we went out (with blankets) to hang out on the deck and stargaze. It's amazing how many and how brightly you can see the stars when you're away from city lights. I could go on and on about my magical experience at Andrew and Erin's glamping site. Thank you guys for making our one-year anniversary one that we will never forget. We will definitely be back!!
Andrew and Erin were fantastic hosts- super prompt in all communication, more than generous with their knowledge of local activities, and completely interested in making sure the stay was magical. This was a terrific introduction to Glamping, and an unusual weekend trip from LA.
Had an awesome stay on my drive down to LA, I came by last minute and Andrew and Erin were able to accommodate me. Got some great photos from the tent on a hill overlooking the vineyard. Will definitely be coming back
Gracias Erin, ustedes fueron mas que huéspedes muy buenos amigos, sencillos y muy cariñosos. Ademas respetaron las reglas de la casa ya que nos entregaron el apartamento tal como se les entrego. Esperamos su pronto retorno
Our paths never crossed, yet I'd say Erin was a great guest - communicative and tidy! Maybe we will meet another time?!
Erin was a wonderfully fun, interesting and friendly guest! We ended up inviting her to have dinner with us on her last night, that's how much we enjoyed her company. Easy to communicate with and courteous, I would highly recommend her to anyone renting their property. We look forward to seeing you again Erin!
Loved having Erin and Andrew. They were great guests and very cheerful. It was a pleasure to meet them.
