Justin, his lovely wife Kelly and his twins came for Labor Day weekend for some R&R and some sun at our pool. They were extremely tidy for a couple with 14 month old twins, our home barely looked used. I understand they liked their stay and enjoyed the house and pool area. We would welcome them back anytime.
Justin left the house in fine condition; however, I would caution any AirBnB host from renting to him. First, he provided a false and careless review of my home that could significantly mislead future potential AirBnB renters from renting my home. Secondly, he did not communicate his concerns to me so that I could remedy the situation. His public complaint was that the house was tidy not clean. This was not true. The house had been professionally cleaned the day he arrived by a cleaner who has been cleaning my house for more than 5 years - without complaint - and is an absolute perfectionist. I have a hard time imagining how the house could not have been clean. After reading the review I asked Justin to at least clarify the review so he did not leave the impression that the house had not been cleaned. He was not willing, despite having no other "issues" with the house. Prior to his arrival I was clear with Justin that if there was anything he needed I would be available by cell phone and happy to help. Had the house not been cleaned to his satisfaction he could have called me and and I could have easily remeded the situation. Getting another cleaning crew over there at a time that was convenient for Justin and his family would have been very easy to do. As any AirBnB host knows, the cost of a negative review can be far greater than a broken dish.
Justin was my first Airbnb guest -- and I could not have had a better first experience. He was a great guest and I would be glad to have him stay with me in the future.
