Artist in NYC
Super location just a couple of blocks to the river, subway really close. Felt safe as an area to stay and near great bars and eateries and very close to $1 oyster bars!
Apartment was really comfortable and suited our needs, we loved the quirky New York feel to it. Michael greeted us with a glass of red which was great after a long trip! Lovely guy and very welcoming. Highly recommended.
The apartment is located in the ever shrinking china town, in a few years it will probably be a hotspot for younger crowds! Just keep in mind that it is four steps without an elevator so it's great exercise!
Perfect for you that likes it quiet at night. Just a cross the street you can buy 12 big pork dumplings for 2 dollars. Just outside the door you will have a small store that will sell you late night snacks.
The subway is just a minute away around the corner and it takes ten minutes by foot to get to the crowded parts of china town.
Nice and clean apartment and Michael is a really friendly host. Michael Fed-Exed the keys all the way to Sweden so that we could check in late by ourselfes.
The studio was basic and quiet, very close to the f-line station of east broadway that brings you easily uptown.
Michael is a reliable host, answering any question very quickly and flexible with checkin and checkout times. We loved our time in NY!
Michael's apartment was a great find. Super convenient location, comfortable, I had a great stay.
Michael was really easy to communicate with before we arrived and everything went really smoothly. The apartment was great and Michael couldn't have been more helpful. He settled us in, gave us tips on the area, left us things for breakfast and then showed us how to get to the airport when we were leaving. Great stay!
Michael was a very nice, accommodating and courteous host. Easy to communicate with about arriving/leaving or if there was something we thought about during the stay. Good location in LES/chinatown, close to subway and walking distance to other areas in manhattan like SOHO. The area was empty at night but we never felt unsafe. We liked the apartment that is in a older building, high sealing, fire escape with windows towards the street. Pretty quiet at night, comfortable bed, clean, love the shower in the kitchen! Would come back.
Michael was a great host - thanks! Anything was like it is written down in the description. Although we checked-in very late, michael was very friendly and comfortable. Especially the communication was excellent.
I can recommend Micheals apartment for all people who want to stay in a clean, safe and central flat with a very umcomplicated und reputable host.
Couldn't have wanted anything more. Great host, great apartment, top location, and excellent value for money. All at short notice too, we were lucky. Michael was very hospitable, even helped carry my bags up and down - thanks mate!
Perfect little place to stay in the Lower East Side near the Two Bridges area. Great location next to a park and a block away from the subway (F Train that goes straight through NYC); also close to L.E.S. eats such as the Doughnut Plant and Katz's Deli. Quiet and comfortable for the two of us. Michael was kind, more than welcoming when we arrived and let us know when he was going to stop by to water plants etc. one afternoon. We had our privacy, felt safe in and out of the building, and never worried about leaving anything in the apartment. The only "down-side" would be the 5 floor walk upstairs that we'd have to take after walking all day, but we didn't mind at all. We had WiFi and television, and the rooms were full to the brim of art and literature, which was a great environment to come "home" to each evening after a day of exploring. Solid place to stay if you're looking for a true NYC experience!
Michael's apartment was just perfect for our recent visit to NY. It was meticulously clean and with the double-glazed windows...surprisingly quiet! As an artist and musician we enjoyed feeling as if we were in a kindred creative's space with loads of books and art around the apartment. Michael was more than accommodating with details of where to eat, which transfer service was well-priced and kindly invited us to an exhibition opening (we unfortunately declined due to an early flight and case of flu!). We loved the location being so close to yummy Asian restaurants and a stone's throw from Soho, Little Italy and Greenwich Village. The F line is a very short walk away. The stairs to the apartment didn't bother us as we enjoyed the exercise. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to those wanting to be based from a groovy apartment with the days spent exploring NY!
