A great choice. Sasha's place has everything required for a good stay, and Sasha proved to be an excellent host. Also, Chiswick is a particularly comfortable part of London...well serviced with plenty of good shops and services. Highly recommended.
The room is quite comfortable with a really good toilet. Distance from the tube is quite alright, and the shops around are really convenient.
I thought the area was lovely. The studio was very close to the tube and central London easily accessible. The area also had some very nice restaurants and bars. I changed the time of our arrival and let the host know so we expected to wait a while. However I had to help my partner to the flat, once we knew the host was on his way, because we had two large cases, having returned from Thailand that morning. I had to then leave my partner outside the studio with cases to wait for the host. I was not very happy when I heard about the way my partner was greeted by the host. He was told that this was a well to do area and that he, the host, didn't like that my partner had stood outside for 10 minutes with 2 cases as this didn't look good. As I said earlier we had changed the time of our arrival at the flat but didn't have any expectations and were prepared to wait to gain access. We did know that the host was on his way so didn't feel it was too early to wait outside. Also, as I said I needed to help my partner with the cases to reach the flat as I then had to go to a hospital appointment. To be honest after this I didn't feel comfortable in the studio, it didn't seem friendly or welcoming. That attitude continued. The studio was small, modern and clean and reasonably priced for London
Great place to stay if you are going to London! Very close to many restaurants and fairly close to the tube. BTW, tube in the town is the best I've seen. Sasha is a wonderful guy, and he did a nice job restoring the home. His partner is a very good artist and they had great art that she painted all over the entrance. The apartment is small by american standards, but it is thoughtfully laid out and certainly adequate for two on a vacation. Bathroom was very nice. I liked being on the top of the house, it was very quiet. The neighborhood was totally ideal- no worries walking late at night and lots of shops and food. Do yourself a favor and load up on water at the grocery store on the way (London tap water is bad tasting). The only small caveat that I might add, is that if you have allergies, there were smokers and a sweet little dog who stayed there who can set allergies off.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying with Sasha; he's warm and super charming, and our room was terrific. We arrived rather late, and we were pretty hungry, and when we said we were craving fish and chips, Sasha drove us over to the restaurant to get take away, and drove us back! Our accommodations were extremely comfortable -- the room was pretty, the bed was just right, and we had our own bathroom. Everything was spotless! The house, located in Chiswick, is very close to restaurants, pubs, and shopping, and near to two Underground stations. I highly recommend staying with Sasha!
Sasha's one room apartment fits the description given online. Neat, clean and trendy. Great location, it is about equal distance from Heathrow or the city centre.
Sasha is a really friendly guy and was most keen to make or stay in London memorable. Was able to give good tips on what to do or where to go for food etc. Even helped us get a taxi at a good rate to the airport.
Staying with Sasha was a wonderful experience. His place was everything he promised and more. We had trouble finding the right house at first, but a neighbor knew which house was his.
The Chiswick neighborhood was great. Only a five minute walk to two Starbucks, several cafe's and bakeries. Get some sandwiches from Gregg's and get a Royal Crown (roll) from the bakery nearby.
The metro in London is very organized and easy to use.
Sasha is very frendly
Room is clean and comfort
nice for vocation
Fantastic location that was a 5 minute walk from the underground station. Our stay was the best of both worlds. The surrounding area was nice and quiet, with many fantastic cafes and restaurants; a great escape away from the hustle and bustle of central London.
Apartment was clean and well furnished. Bed was absolutely comfortable.
