Thank you, Cathy. We were very glad to hosting you back at your old haunts. You were a great guest, and Margaret really enjoyed meeting you.
The brownstone is a landmark building, so updates are tricky. The kitchen faces outside, and as such, any renovations must be approved by the City. The building owner has been zero for three. And if we modernize the bathroom, we lose the grandfathered high water-pressure. NYC can be a challenge.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Thank you, Pablo. Elisabeth and the staff really liked meeting you. I hope that you enjoyed the motor bikes we got for you and that you were able to visit more of the island. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope you will visit again.
Baerbel was a wonderful guest, and Andrew and Gurdon found her extremely sympathique, to mix the French and German. I was away in Indonesia working on the Balinese properties we have listed on AirBnB, and I regret that I did not get a chance to meet Baerbel personally. But she was really patient with the cleaner giving her a tour (!) and with the whole zeitgeist (there, I got some German in) of the area. I did phone in from Indonesia to supplement the introduction, but she was already set and soon off enjoying her few days in San Francisco. Real nice person, fine guest, good communication, patient, appreciative. and welcome back any time.
We really loved having Audrey and Daniel. They were great guests: neat, considerate, good communication. And I'm glad that they liked the area and the various recommendations I peppered them with. I was out of town, so I was not able to give them the full welcome treatment, but I hope to spoil them silly in the future.
Mats, Lai, and very cute baby were very welcome and wonderful guests, also extremely patient with a new dog and a bout of intense Bali heat. The villa plus its classic grounds was the former home of the Governor of Brazil's wealthy brother, and these guests really seemed to appreciate the history, personality, and uniqueness of the space. We very much recommend them and would welcome them at any of our locales without pause.
Andrew was a great guest, and we'd love to host him again. Calm, considerate, and accommodating, he was the ideal person with whom to entrust your living quarters. We'd give a big thumb's up to other hosts. Thanks, Andrew, for your visit.
We were really glad to be able to host Christina and her friend, and we were happy she was pleased with our preparations. Elisabeth popped in to meet her in person but just missed her twice; I was in San Francisco hosting another AirBnB guest, but we had arranged with the staff and with Christina by email and WhatsApp most of what was needed. Christina was a really nice guest whom the staff liked and found very friendly and patient and appreciative. We'd really recommend Christina to any other AirBnB hosts -- a wonderful traveler.
Hanae and Ryoji were lovely guests and lovely people. I really enjoyed our email conversations, despite my reliance on their English and (website hidden)!translate. Elisabeth met them at arrival and was very pleased and touched by the mementos from Japan that they brought. She liked them personally a lot and was quite happy that they enjoyed and appreciated the extras and suggestions that she provided. As we said about another of our guests who stayed at the same time at a nearby villa, we hope they will come back to see us at the villa and perhaps even stay at our new ecological resort in one of the last old-growth groves near the Sanur beach. Yes, it's a plug, but we're really proud of the design and want to share it with guests just like Hanae and Ryoji.
