There are a lot of places I like, but I like New Orleans better - Bob Dylan

Us three Argentinian guys turn up for a week's visit to New Orleans. A bit dazed and jetlagged, we need somebody to care for us. So there is Danielle who hands over the keys, takes us out to do some shopping, and gives us a few tips about the place. Her house is ornamented with vintage miscellany and art. Do not rent with her if you are a obsessional neurotic. But if you enjoy a relaxed and informal setting her place is perfect. Do as if you are in your own home. If you feel something is missing, just go down to the shop and buy it. And, you will be privileged to share the house with a petite and stout Nawlins dawg called Jelly Roll. Treat him kindly and he will befriend you right away.
Danielle was so incredibly accommodating! We arrived very late (around 1 am), but she stayed up to greet us and welcomed us with tour guides and personal tips for places to visit while we were on our trip. From what I understand, we may have been her last Airbnb tenants, but when she's back, I'd highly recommend staying with her! Thanks Danielle for making our time so comfortable and amazing!!
Danielle was a great hostess, easy to reach when we had questions, and everything was clean and comfortable. The apartment is perfectly located, a very quiet street near both the most bustling stretch of the French Quarter (Frenchmen and Esplanade) and the quieter, charming local Marigny bars. I highly recommend her!
The reservation was canceled 23 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Danielle is a great hostess and her crib is so chill. I'd recommend her to anyone who is polite and likes the Bywater nabe
Danielle was a great host! The house was lovely and was in a perfect location. It is within walking distance to the French Quarter. It was also a great location for walking to Frenchmen Street at night to see live music. We greatly enjoyed our stay in New Orleans!
What a great place to stay. Marigny is the perfect neighbourhood, close enough to the French Quarter to be walkable, but away from the tourist hell of Bourbon Street. And this is the prefect room in Marigny. Danielle's house is lovely and peaceful. Highly recommended!
You have 3 awesome open rooms in this cool and funky shotgun, but they are connected to the host's bedroom/kitchen via doors with wide open transoms. This means you can hear everything going on, especially in the shared bathroom just outside the bedroom...like when your host has to get up at 6am to take a 45minute shower and get ready to go out. The bed is comfy but slanted. We loved the neighborhood, and I am quite sure Danielle is a cool and interesting person, but she is not a born host by any stretch of the imagination. We definitely got the feeling that our presence was just barely being tolerated so she could make some cash. At half the rate, I would have no complaints about any of this, mind you. I have felt happy and welcomed in much less comfortable surroundings. However, we really really wanted to find a place that we could come back to on future trips. This is not (website hidden), even if you are a drummer do NOT play her drums PERIOD. Her guest book certainly makes it sound like she'd be fine with someone who could actually play, playing at a reasonable time. Well, 11:30am is evidently not a reasonable time. Our host berated my boyfriend (who is a pretty good drummer) nonstop for 10 minutes for playing them. He had played a total of 4 or 5 minutes. It would have been one thing if she had been like, 'hey, man, don't play my drums, the neighbors will freak, even if it seems like the middle of the day.' But she went on and on and on and on, even though he immediately apologized and offered to apologize to the neighbors. Her whole manner of handling this was just very very not ok. Made the rest of the stay less than optimal and her clanging around in the bathroom at the crack of dawn really annoying.
Also I am pretty sure she would not have come to say anything to us if it hadn't been for the drum debacle. No greeting, no introductions. This has not been my experience with other airBnB hosts. Frankly, it feels weird to have someone you have not met peeing in the next room while you try to sleep.
die Unterkunft hat eine besoners günstige Lage; ruhig, sicher und unmittelbar iun der Nähe vom French Quarter; Danielle ist super; so ist hilfreich mit allen Tipps und Hilfestellungen zu gegen
Danielle was very responsive and always replied quickly. She was very friendly and helpful.
If you are very concerned about the cleanliness and orderliness note that this house is very old and may not be what you expected but if you don't mind it this will be a really good experience!!
