Hi! I am picking up my traveling adventures, whether it is near or far, to make the most of my permanent desire to explore and learn new things (people, culture, foods, places, etc.)
When I travel, I plan most of my days out so I can make the most of my vacation time (Americans do not get much time off!)
I can appreciate a few hours on the beach, but I much more prefer staying active and exploring touristy things. I can be very happy on a cheesy tour group and don't mind exploring things on my own - scuba diving, local sports events, arts (theater/symphony), crafts (ceramics, glass blowing, etc.). I enjoy a productive day of shopping every once in a while too.
I'll try to start my days pretty early, with a long run to keep up with my triathlon training. For food, I prefer to eat and drink as the locals do, preferably small hole-in-the-wall places. I like cooking and baking so I like observing the variety cooking and tastes each city have to offer. I love a strong latte or coffee in the morning and appreciate a quality micro-brew when I am out at night.
My friends and family describe me as a fun, warm, dependable, grounded and open minded person. I promise to be a considerate, clean and friendly guest (I grew up in The Midwest and love the Green Bay Packers!). I look forward to meeting you perhaps in the near future!
