Great place! Awesome location! Communication with Alexis prior to the stay was great and Rose was there for arrival and local help and was amazing and awesome. The room is just as described with lots of fun little Extras. It's right in the middle
Of all the action and there are a ton of places to eat all around you. 10 minute walk to the main subway stations.
Cons: Bed is a bit hard, I recommend taking a taxi or Uber from the airport express Hong Kong station to the room, just the first time. It's kinda hard to find the escalator from the station as there are minimal signs. Awesome
Alexis' apartment is comfortable and convenient.
His response time was fast and communication easy.
Even while being centrally located near the escalator and HK nightlife it was very quiet.
His helper was there upon my arrival and was very kind and able to answer any questions.
The apartment is an adequate size is kept very clean.
Definitely a recommended stay especially for the convenience of restaurants, bars, transportation, shopping.
Thank you for hosting on airbnb.
- Alexis's place was very comfortable. The place is cozy but it definitely has space for everything you need (spacious bathroom, suitable closet space).
- The apartment is in an amazing location in SOHO. It is right by the mid-levels escalator so you can walk straight to Hong Kong Station and take the express train to the airport. It is also where all the nice bars and restaurants are - there is lots to do!
- Thick blinds - it was very easy to make the bed area as dark as possible to sleep. The unit doesn't get any sound at night either.
- Fast internet plus HBO. Easy to stay connected with home and watch entertainment before you sleep.
- The shower is in a separate area in the bathroom but it doesn't have a curtain or sliding door. Therefore, sometimes mist could settle on your belongings in the bathroom. But if you leave the window open, you could minimize this problem.
Clean, great location, everything you need for the perfect stay in HK!
I enjoyed my time immensely and Alexis did everything possible to make my stay in Hong Kong an enjoyable one. The place comes as described and could not be in a better location. I would not hesitate to come back here for a prolonged stay on my next visit. I think it will be difficult to find anything more central, convenient, and comfortable. I highly recommend it. 5 star all the way.
It was a very comfortable stay with amenities like boiler, adaptor, hair dryer, heater and even towels all in working conditions.
Room and washroom was clean and great.
It was accessible to both Sheung Wan and Central MTR. So that's great. Some good and apparently famous restaurants/eateries just downstairs.
Thank you Alexis for saving us by hosting us for our first Airbnb experience, our original reservation was unexpectedly canceled at the last minute. We had a very enjoyable stay - the apartment is very
large for HK standards, we felt very cozy and at home. The location couldn't be better, we were able to walk everywhere, lots of shops and
restaurants and very close to central as well.
The Nespresso machine, an added bonus was a life saver for us since we are "caffeincianatos"!
Alexis is a very generous, responsive and well organised host, no problem with the detailed instructions- everything went very smoothly. Also, thanks for letting us check out late - a great help!
We highly recommend Alexis's apartment for a characteristic loft experience in HK, just hopefully not during the dates we would like.
I was a bit nervous as this was my very first Airbnb rental. However, overall, I was very happy with Alexis's studio, and would certainly recommend it to other HK visitors.
Having noted what others had said, I agree with the majority of reviews here; despite occasional struggles with the hit-and-miss electronic door lock, a (Chinese-style?) very hard mattress and an awkward washer/dryer door - I had to ask for help to get the door open - the studio proved a great base to stay at, and I'd certainly recommend it, and will definitely consider staying there again.
In fact, I was quite ill during my visit, so saw more of the studio than I should have! But this helps me to confirm that it was a home from home, with greatly appreciated air con.
I met Alexis's assistant, Rose, who was lovely and helpful, and I appreciated coming home late one day to find the studio had been tidied/cleaned. (Thanks, Rose!)
So, overall, with its great location, terrific urban views (and a great supermarket just down the hill, opposite a 7/11), I'm happy indeed with the studio - my first Airbnb rental - and recommend it...
We stayed here for 1 week and that was our best accommodation in HK. The apartment is much bigger than expected. Very clean and cosy. Superb location in just a few minutes walk to Central, Sheung Wan and Soho.
Definitely recommend this place.
Hello fellow AirBnB traveller,
as soon as I land in Hong Kong -- even if the seat belt sign is still flashing and the trolley dolly is yelling at me to turn off my phone -- I have to call Alex.
I've known Alex for over 10 years. We've hung out at the highest peaks in Hong Kong and then underground at some of the coolest bars. We've eaten at some of the most expensive restaurants and some of the cheapest food stalls on the street.
If you are are staying at his place in Hong Kong the only possible draw back is that Alex won't be in the city so you won't get to enjoy his company.
Alexis and I have traveled together, roomed together, and taken classes together. He is a smart and well-traveled entrepreneur who is responsible and fun to be around. Unfortunately I have yet to visit his place in Hong Kong, but knowing him I can only imagine that you will get a world class experience staying there.
