Response from Peter & Annet:
Before we agreed to rent Sixtens "Villa" for 16 days in July we asked for shades for the upstairs bedrooms. He could have refused, but maybe the prospect of 16 days rent at $230 a night (you do the math) helped him make his decision. We decided to rent the "Villa" in April and our credit card was charged the full amount immediately.
We had an appointment with Sixten to check on the internet connection on July 1. He did not show up, but we met on July 2. (our rental started July 16). At that time we noticed there was no place to hang or store our clothes, so we asked for hangers. Sixten provided an over the door rack and 6 hangers and also cleared 2 shelves on his book case for storage. If we had cancelled at that time we would have lost our money and more importantly would have had to try to find another place to stay.
We fully stand by our review, as a matter of fact Sixten should consider himself lucky.
As for the noise, of course there was noise. Sixten knew that there would be three year old twins in the house. His neighbors should take that up with him. And if it had been a real "Villa" there would not have been a downstairs neighbor.
I admit that I did not know how to recycle glass and left 2 bottles by the trash can for a day. I removed them after 24 hours.
