I love living and working in Austin and sharing my life with a wonderful partner, friends, family and chickens!
Meesha was an exceptional host. The house was perfect - clean, lots of room, not too cluttered and everything was where you'd expect it. On top of that it is also beautiful to look at. The chickens in the backyard were a real novelty for our young boys and they are good lookin' hens too! But Meesha went above and beyond this - she left very detailed notes on the house and things to do in Austin, and she she left complimentary washroom necessities which we thought was a real professional and welcome touch. We didn't need them but thought it very thoughtful that they were there.
Meesha explained in her description and when we met her, that the house is not "childproofed" per say and there a few wee things that, should you have small children, you should be aware of. There is a step in the living area which is hard to see. Our two year old was fine with it because he is good at remembering those things when he is told but another two year old may have issues - depends on the kid. There are a few really lovely vases etc around that we moved out of our boys way which was easy to do. If you have kids who need electrical outlets covered I'd say just bring some with you. But other than that we found it an ideal house for wee ones.
Thank you Meesha for renting your beautiful home to us. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely look you up the next time we come to Austin.
Staying in Meesha's house for my daughter's 30th birthday weekend made the weekend complete. The house is very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and Meesha had fresh eggs from her chickens, Texas coffee, and beer for us to enjoy before we set off for Central Market which is only 1/2 mile from her house. But best of all is Meesha herself. She was so easy to work with and offered us wonderful ideas about local restaurants and things to do.
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house - Thanks!! We especially enjoyed the chickens and cooking fresh eggs in the morning. Also, thanks for leaving so many "essentials" - the toothpaste was very handy!!
I would rent again. The location was good and the house was clean and quirky which was a nice change of pace and just right for my family trip to Austin for the weekend. Chickens were fun and didn't require any work. Fresh eggs were a nice treat. Host was pleasant and communicated well. Thanks.
Clean, nice house. Owners are very nice and pleasant. They will make sure your stay is welcome and comfortable.
This self-sufficient ranch style house is a great place to stay when in Austin. It was perfect for the 4 days I was in town to film at the Circuit of Americas. Very easy to get to from the Airport and the track.
Meesha is an amazing AirBNB host and really went above and beyond to make our stay as best as possible. The house has everything you could possibly need and everything was spotless.
It was also very nice that they had packaged toiletries such as spare toothbrushes, listerine, etc.
With 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms in addition to a chicken coop with great vegetable garden, there's no doubt at $200 a night this place is a steal.
I only wish we had more free time to eat some of those great freshly laid eggs!
Cozy place in South Austin, 5 min away from Zilker Park and 10min to all the action in downtown! Perfect fit for two couples and, in our case, a kid. Had a lot of fun picking fresh eggs each morning from the chicken coop. Meesha was an amazing host, would definitely stay here again!
The house was awesome and very close to the airport and downtown. The house is beautifully renovated. Meesha was a great host and even worked with us in changing our checkin because of flight issues. We had a great time in austin and would definitely rent this house again on a future trip! Thanks Meesha!
Wow, what a great home and great location! Convenient and easy access to all parts of Austin, and a short/cheap cab fare if you choose to have fun out in neighboring SOCO or downtown. My 2 sons ages 6 & 2 1/2 loved the house, and most specifically the chickens. Fresh eggs and an organic garden at your disposal makes eating healthy at home a breeze and anything else you can dream of is right down the street at Central Market. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and even greeted us with a local brew 6 pack of beer. I really couldn't say enough great things about the home or hosts. My wife, kids and I all loved it. Great place, Great People. A wonderful ambassador to Austin, TX.
