we bought this holiday home to have somewhere to go when we were off at weekends together Porthmadog is such a lovely peaceful place to stay. the beach is very clean, with just miles and miles of sand making a walk to cricceth when the tide out a must. Then you have the mountains if you fancy taking a hike.
Porthmadog is a little town with plenty of shops to look around, and little cafés to sit and take in the surrounding, with a market on Fridays. In Porthmadog there is also the steam train which stops at a variety of places There are other little villages to go on the tourist trail such as Bedd Gellet, Criceth, and also Caernarfon. Bangor is about a 20 minute drive away with all the big named shops on the high street. A lovely university town well worth a visit.
