Anka and her friends are really nice and pleasant. They left apartment in good condition.
I'm sorry I didn't meet you while you were here, it's always good meeting Polish people. The renovation of the balconies took longer than the contractor said – 11 weeks and not 5!?!
In the interest of fairness and the right of reply.
Your room is not above a Kebab restaurant, that's on the opposite side of the building and in no way has any effect on the apartment. However, there is the back of a Greek restaurant a little way down the street from your room.
As far as I can explain, the 'smell' (as I found it upon my return) was because that side of the building had scaffolding and was covered with a screen which appears to have trapped the 'smells' which normal would escape into the atmosphere.
I apologise that you were only informed about the scaffolding and renovation a few days before you arrival but I think with the best will in the world, Jolanta was hoping that the contractors would have finished before your arrived.
When it became clear that they would not finish despite saying that they would, she informed you.
When you made the reservation on the 14 March we had no idea that the renovation would occur. When it did a week later, I did not inform you because the contractor said, that it would only take 5 week and you were not due to arrive until May.
Of course, the end result meant that you could use the balcony and maybe we could of handled the situation differently or better.
