The apartment was nice. Cozy but covered all the basics and needs when you're traveling. This is a basement apartment, so it's a bit dark and you don't have a view. Upstairs neighbors can be a bit loud unfortunately. You do have a private secured entrance and the apartment is fairly well stocked. Location is convenient to public transit making transportation to/from the airport convenient. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if I come back.
Johns suite was exactly like the pictures. We found his place immaculate, new, great bathroom, large shower, new towels. The kitchen had everything for cooking, welcome beer, wine, snacks, coffee ect...The queen bed was very comfortable with nice linens. Bart was a 10 min. walk, same for J muni, buses right outside his location. We were able to leave our bags after check out, to enjoy one more morning in the city, very accommodating host We will stay here again.
Host was very easy to contact and deal with and gave excellent instructions for getting to the place. The apartment itself was very cute and clean - a perfect place to relax for me as I was at conference down the street at Moscone. It was easy for me to walk there, or get to mass transit when I needed to be elsewhere in the Bay Area. There are some cute coffee shops and restaurants not too far away, and a fantastic craft beer store that does tastings only a block or two away. All in all, a great place to stay if you are looking in SOMA.
John is an excellent host, prompt replies, all the information you need. Great welcome when you arrive with snacks and refreshments available on arrival. Just what you need when you have come in from a long flight. The listing is perfectly located in Soma region. Near great restaurants and bars, but quietly put back on Rausch Street in peace and traquility.
Fantastic place with lots of little touches to make the place extra liveable.
Being in SOMA, the overall location is not the grandest, but it was super-convenient to our office and other essentials (beer, coffee, bacon :) ).
Our experience renting from John was extraordinary. The apartment was in great shape when we arrived, and we were very comfortable for the 3 weeks that we were in town. The location is perfect -- close to BART so it's easy to get into town and to the airport, but far enough away so that it's quiet. There are markets and cute restaurants nearby.
Would definitely stay here again!
The place is very nice and was as expected from the listed pictures. It's close to a lot of muni bus stops so public transportation was quite efficient.
John was a great host, he checked in on us to make sure everything was ok during our stay.
He was also kind enough to provide snacks, beers and toiletries. I absolutely recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to stay in San Francisco.
John was fantastic ! He was was very easy to communicate with and organised with us somewhere to store our bags as we arrived before check in.
clean and neat. i loved staying in their place.
John was an awesome host and helped us with everything we needed!
10 minute walk from the closest BART station which was pretty convenient. Right next to a brewery which means easily can walk to get beer! Also, about an $8 uber ride to union square if you are lazy and don't want to walk or take the MUNI.
Clean, comfortable and very nice.
John was delightful with our planning communication. He was great at following up with his plans. I would recommend John to other Air B&B hosts.
John is an awesome host and an all around first class guy. I can't think of a better host to stay with in San Francisco!
