Hi! My wife Kiki and I live in Fresno, CA. Last year, we sold our home in Austin, TX and hit the road with no particular destination in mind. Our travels took us through: Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California, and Oregon. I took a job in Fresno, CA and we have lived here since early May 2013.
I am a self-proclaimed nerd and IT/technical kinda guy. Kiki loves to cook; she's also a great walker (and talker!). We both practice yoga for an hour most days.
We're fun in a quiet way, I'd say; we enjoy the little things....we can't live without: good coffee, peanut butter (Kiki), marinara (Dave), The New York Times, and Mozart in the car.
When we visit a place, we like to have our feet on the ground and explore street by street -- see how people live in a particular place. It's not really about what's grand or "the best" -- it's about: this is what people do/eat/think here. We love libraries and colleges and visit them whenever possible. Also thrift stores, yard sales, salvage yards...we like to analyze things -- think: hmmm, what's this all about? Could we live here? We like to use our travel experiences to help us think; to change our perspective, get creative, have fun, laugh....
