I love Rincon and hope to live there full time one day. I love to relax at the beach with my adorable puppy. Back at home I'm in the construction business.

Adam was very helpful and the apartment was nice. This apartment is very minimal so don't expect luxury - what you see is what you get. This apartment fit our needs perfectly. It was nice to have a washer and outdoor space.
There were only a few downsides..
The bathroom was very small and there were no shelves to store anything in or out of the shower. Only one trash bag and one roll of toilet paper are provided which is understandable but also annoying. Luckily there are grocery stores in the area to pick up all of your necessities.
This was our first trip to Puerto Rico so we did not know that there are not typical US addresses and this was not explained to me. Don't expect to be able to pull this up on google maps. Use the KM markers and create your own landmarks to know where you are!
We would definitely stay here again!
My boyfriend and I stayed at La Piña Azul for a month in Jan. 2015 and had an awesome time! We've been to Rincon many times before and this was our favorite trip by far. Adam is an incredible host - we actually had a chance to meet him, as he was visiting Rincon toward the end of our trip, and really enjoyed hanging out with him. He was super quick to respond to any questions/needs we had over the course of the month and is just an all-around COOL DUDE!
This apartment is a fantastic spot for surfers. The house is up on a hill overlooking the Aguadilla Bay, so we could literally see which waves were breaking all the way from Aguada to Wilderness while sipping our morning coffee on the back patio. We also found the location to be perfect in terms of quality of life, because it's not *right* in the center of the Puntas party action (so you can actually sleep at night!), but it's still minutes from beaches and nightlife.
As stated in the listing, the apartment is a small one-room studio with a bathroom, kitchenette, and patio with a grill. Bonus: Beautiful view from the patio! We found this to be more than sufficient for our needs (we got super creative with that grill!) and everything was exactly as described in the listing. The apartment is part of a larger house which includes Adam's apartment; however, the rental has a separate entrance and feels very private.
Also, the apartment is super secure (multiple locks and a gate), so any worries you might have about theft are really non-issues. We've never had anything like that happen in our 7 years of going to Rincon, but it's always in the back of your mind if you're not in a place with good security.
If you're planning a longer-term trip like ours and thinking of working remotely while in PR, we'd highly recommend a co-working space called The Cube near the town plaza. Definitely more productive than trying to work from the patio of the apartment with that lovely view tempting you away from your computer. :)
A word to the wise: As other reviewers have said, DO NOT attempt to visit Rincon without a car!! Public transportation is pretty much non-existent and while it's a fairly small town, things are still spread out far enough that you will not be happy walking from place to place. (Also, walking is definitely not safe on the tiny Rincon roads where drivers FLY around blind corners literally on a wing and a prayer.) Adam's place has parking right in front of the house and we never experienced any issues with leaving our car there.
I stayed 7 days in December 2014 during the Christmas holiday as a solo traveler looking for great surfing and a relaxing getaway. Adam was a great host and La Pina Azul was the perfect place to stay while in Rincon. Although Adam was out of town, he arranged for someone to meet me and let me in for my late evening arrival. He was also very accommodating when I needed to extend my stay. As I surfed at both the Rincon proper and Puntas beaches, La Pina Azul airbnb was very accessible by rental car. If I didn't have to return to work, I could have easily spent months in this charming area of Puerto Rico. The weather was fantastic, the stay was comfortable, and everyone was super friendly. I highly recommend it!
I stayed at Adam’s studio for a month in July 2014. Adam is the man. He could not have been a better host and helped make my stay in Puerto Rico a blast. From fast and clear communication to my initial inquiries, to helping me find my way when I got lost upon arrival, to showing me the best places around town and even buying a round of beers, to pro-actively communicating with me to make sure everything was o.k., he was awesome. As far as the room went, the other positive reviews are right on target. The location is a great mix of convenience while being a retreat—it’s on a small road off the main loop in Rincon (Rt 413) but is a short drive away to several nice beaches for snorkeling and surfing, as well as great bars and restaurants (La Cambija has amazing and cheap grilled seafood). You definitely need a car, but this is the case with all of Northwest Puerto Rico. I'm a light sleeper, but I slept like a rock: the place itself is very quiet as far as human activity goes, and the the A/C + fan unit combined with some earplugs drowned out the pleasant sounds of the jungle (frogs, birds, etc.). The room is basic, just as Adam describes, but it was clean, and I had everything I needed. I have ridiculous allergies to dogs and cats and was worried about the room being pet friendly, but I had no problems with this whatsoever. The house is also very secure, with locks for the room itself, the back porch, and the garage/carport, which is great because he has a convenient surfboard rack there. If you want the best deal in Rincon with an honest and responsive host, look no further. Thank you, Adam!
Lucky us to stay at La Pina Azul. Didnt want to leave we even missed our flight out lol no really we did and went back to Rincon for our remaining hours till next flight. If you could pick your family Manny and I decided we would pick Adam!!! Great spot super clean quite and unique close to everything! Dont ask questions just book it you won't be disappointed, just impressed:) Finally made it home...now figuring out how to get back, maybe we shouldnt have left. Thanks for everything!
I stayed at Adam's only for a night, the place was as described and accessible to anywhere in a short time by car. Would recommend it to those who rent a car.
Adam is an amazing attentive host and his place is simple yet perfect for a stay in Rincon. Close to all the fun stuff! I will most certainly be back again and can only recommend it!
Rincon is an amazing place to visit in Peurto Rico and Adam's apartment is directly in the center of everything. We stayed for 5 days and were able to easily reach everything we wanted to do with only a few minutes of driving. We were very close to some of the best beaches (Sandy Beach) and amazing food (Pool Bar). The apartment has a great view from the back porch that looks off the hill into the water. Adam was very helpful and provided us with a long list of suggested places and restaurants to try in the area.
It's been amazing to stay at La Pina Azul. Quiet, clean, perfect location plus a lovely BBQ :) Adam has been super responsive, very easy to communicate with. I stayed for 3 weeks and highly recommend it!
Great place to stay~ everything was exactly as described. Small, but super comfortable with great view from the deck! Mark (the caretaker) was super easy to meet with and showed us the way. Great location~ close to everything, but far enough from town to really feel secluded. Quiet and really relaxing! Would definitely stay again. Thanks Adam!!
