I have just returned from a very nice stay at Rue James Close. I was met at the property by Sophie after clear directions from Antibes station, I had travelled from London via Eurostar and TGV all very convenient. All my communications were very speedy in response and clear in content.
The property was very clean and tidy when I arrived with plenty of towels, good bed linen and disposables, e.g. kitchen paper, toilet paper etc. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, seasoning, oil and other sundry items that made food preparation very straight forward.
I felt the studio was bigger that it looked in the pictures.
The purpose of my visit was to cycle in the region. Antibes is well placed for transport by train with your bicycle. There are plenty of options to ride along the undulating coastline, high in the mountains or even along to Italy for lunch (remember to bring your passport!!).
The Wi-Fi signal was good and strong allowing internet chat back home to family.
I liked the rustic feel of the property and area, more like a local than a tourist dashing to the next 'must see'.
I stayed 4 days in this lovely little studio equipped with everything you needed. Location couldn't be better, right in the center of the old town. Earpluggs is always a good idea, not that it was noisy but still people passing and talking. Comunication with host was great wit quick respons and a will to help. I would definitly come back!
The studio is very nicely located, in the old town of Antibes. Small but well organized and decorated, in good condition, perfect for my stay. Full equipment (pans, kettle, toaster, oven, etc.) and practical basis for cooking (olive oil, salt, herbs...). Only drawback : the smell (origin unknown, maybe coming from the sink), said to be due to the rain. Luckily it doesn't rain often in Antibes... Sophi was very accomodating and prompt to reply by phone.
Great location, easy to get to and everything you need very close by.
Cozy studio that felt like my home for 9 days. Will happily return in the future.
After a very good experience a few weeks ago, I came back for a second stay at the Studio Rue James Close. I was again very much pleased by the warm welcome and wholesome hospitality. Highly recommended!
The studio is a nautical themed and a 7 minute walk from the beach. In the heart of old Antibes it has access to many restaurants and shopping areas. The Studio is not on one of the busier roads so it is not loud at night. It is small but everything one person or a couple need. The kitchen has basic supplies which are very helpful. The whole studio is equipped with towels, toiletries, and beach gear. I enjoyed making tea in the morning and cooking full meals at night. The price is exceptional for the area. They were accommodating with the meeting and let me drop off the key at my pleasure which made leaving easy. The only drawback is that the walls are a bit thin, but that can be expected at any sort of place like this. Thier english is very good and if I ever had questions they responded right away. It truly made my holidays wonderful and I would recommend the place to my closest friends.
Thanks you Alexei for such a nice review and your remarks are welcome.
The studio is simply perfect, well equipped, clean, and decorated in maritime style. Indeed, a jewel. I stayed for 4 days and enjoyed everyone of them, rain or shine. Sophi was a welcoming host and very helpful. The location inside the old town of Antibes is charming, at a few minutes walk from bus and train stations to one side, and to the ramparts and the sea on the other. Highly recommended!
Although our flight got more than 2 hours late, Sophie greeted us warmly at the door of the building with a big smile .l'appartement is very functional, well decorates the Street is in the center of the old town, very friendly with its restaurants and shops.
also there were some bath towels and beach chairs and beach umbrella that have been very helpful
The location is lovely, perfect walking distance to every where Antibes, but out of the direct noise. The space is small but so well used it seems cozy not squished. Loved my time, would happily stay again.
Very nice apartment with the its own theme and character, clean and tidy. Everything is closed, it is located just in heart of old Antibes. Many thanks to Hosts: Sophie and Andrew.
Andrew is a very honest host, his flat in Av.Thier is one with stunning views and very well situated. Anne Sophie is the secret behind the sober but practical furnishing and deco of the flat, I'm sure anyone planning to spend a good and hassel free holiday will enjoy this newly furbished flat in center of Antibes.5 minuts walk to the best pubs in town and the beach.
