I'm a San Franciscan Native who works in the Performing Arts.
Robert was the perfect host while I stayed at his place for an entire month. He and his partner Kate are extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the city, love their fine food and passionate music lovers.
I couldn't have asked for a better host whilst staying in the city, they even let me share Thanksgiving with them and their family which had an amazing spread of food!
Could not spent the month with a nicer couple, I consider them now my friends.
Robert is an amazing host! So friendly and kind! I recommend him.
He is an amazing host! very kind and friendly. I totally recommend staying at his place.
Beautiful art-filled apartment in quiet neighborhood. The host was very gracious and welcoming. A very pleasant stay.
Attention meisuirs et madames! I too would recommend Robert's apartment. He is a fantastic, generous, caring and friendly host and the apartment is clean, the room has a comfy bed (I slept for 12 hours one night!), and all decorated with exceptional good taste. I stayed in the apartment for 6 nights. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Robert.
Excellent experience. The apartment was beautiful. Robert has done everything possible to make my stay pleasant. Very helpful in answering my questions, providing with everything I needed. Very fantastic. Very comfortable stay.
I stayed with Robert for 2 weeks in October 2012 and had a fantastic experience. Roberts apartment is beautiful, clean and spacious - it even has great views of the bridge on the roof deck. As a host Robert is very considerate, very knowledgeable about the city and a very lovely person!
I would recommend Roberts apartment to my friends and would definitely stay here again!
Robert is a kind host and a wonderful, generous person. Though our schedules didn't align very often, when we did get a chance to visit, I enjoyed our conversations a great deal. His home is filled with great art and was a pleasure to stay in.
The room I stayed in was just right, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of closet and desk space. I also managed to take advantage of a sunny summer day or two on top of the roof deck, from which I enjoyed the view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sutro Tower, and the rest of the Richmond District. Nearby street parking was also easy to find on the few occasions I needed to bring by car into the city.
Had a great stay at Robert's Richmond flat...everything was just as described. Very spacious apartment filled with a variety of eclectic art. "My" room was perfect-spacious,comfortable bed, desk, room to hang clothes in the closet, shelves also in closet, private bathroom...everything you need. Bonus-he has a crazy lazy-boyish chair that will give you a serious massage. Added bonus for me-free and available street parking! Perfect for me to leave my car there and take the bus straight down Geary St into Union Sq. Also, in a few blocks you could be running at Golden Gate Park. I'd definitley stay here again!
Robert is an extremely warm, welcoming, and enthusiastic (yet also unobtrusive) host and a very interesting and charming person. Throughout my almost month-long stay, it was clear he genuinely cared that I felt at home in the apartment (at one point enthusiastically encouraging me to try out the rooftop deck instead of simply eating inside) and that I had the best possible time in San Francisco. Staying at his apartment felt like staying with a good friend or favorite uncle and not at all like renting rooms from someone I hadn't previously met in person. Robert gave me quite a bit of helpful advice about navigating the city and suggested places to explore within and outside San Fran that added a great deal to my trip and, just in general, was an engaging, insightful, and encouraging person to talk to. Communicating and making arrangements with him before my stay couldn't have been easier; he replied to my emails promptly and called more than once so we could talk over details and I had a chance to ask questions before booking. While he wasn't present when I began my stay, his associate, who was similarly helpful and welcoming, got in touch with me in advance and was at the apartment waiting to check me in the moment I arrived from the airport (I forgot to ask perhaps the most important check-in question--what's the wi fi password?--but she had already thought to write it down for me). In addition to simply checking me in, she helpfully showed me around the apartment and gave me some tips about getting oriented in the neighborhood. The apartment itself is eclectic, beautiful, and filled with art. The bedroom in which I stayed and the bathroom which I had to myself were pleasant and very clean (the bed is especially comfy). As you can tell from the map, Robert's apartment is in a great location on 30th Avenue--I walked/jogged to Land's End Trail, Golden Gate Park, Legion of Honor, Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, etc, and had very easy access to the rest of the city through the Geary Muni line, with a stop right at the end of the block. Overall, I couldn't imagine having a better airbnb experience or staying with a more pleasant, welcoming, and helpful host.
I'm really happy to have hosted kate even if her husband could not come for work , it is a shame ! Despite this, I hope kate has spent some fantastic days .
kate is a very forgiving solar and sociable, it is pleasant to joke with her :) . unfortunately there was only a few days, it would be nice if he came back to see me.
Sympathique et cordial : le voyageur idéal !
