Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, so dass wir das Haus bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen können!
Palani Hale was a wonderful place to stay- a beautiful house with a well stocked kitchen, within a short drive to town. Very easy to find. Recommended!!
Alan and Jeanne were wonderful hosts and made all of us feel welcome! We were a group of six and the house was perfect for us. I'm so glad that we stayed with Jeanne twice during our trip (We stayed in Hilo for three nights before returning to Kona.) The house was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you can ask for - including fresh fruit from the garden, snorkeling gear, and even a yoga mat. If you forget to bring anything, Walmart and Target are 5 minutes away but it might not even be necessary because Jeanne has almost everything, including sun block and bug spray.
Jeanne also has extensive knowledge of where to go if you're looking to explore the island, including fun hikes and good snorkeling spots. the house is also centrally located, making it very convenient to get to places. It is approximately a five to ten minute drive to many great restaurants and shopping areas, and approximately twenty minutes away from the airport. There is no air conditioning in the house, but you never really need it because it is dry and cool enough with the ceiling fans to keep you comfortable - in fact it got a little cool some evenings after going to bed.
My friends and I loved staying in the house and should we find ourselves back in Kona, we will definitely look forward to staying with Jeanne again.
Accoglienza ottima, casa grande e ben pulita, con giardino ben tenuto.
La sig.ra Jeanne Borowski è una perfetta ospite e sa intrattenere i clienti in modo eccellente.
We had a very good time on the island. The best part is there are lots of snorkeling and body board gears to borrow at Jeanne's place. And we got a lot of great advice about all the different beach. The house location is convenient, close to great restaurants and supermarkets. The things we noticed is, the main restroom is facing the street so there might be some noise if you're a light sleeper. And since I myself is a neat freak, so we noticed there is dust on house decorations. But these might never bother other people.
Certainly if not staying at Jeanne's place, we won't spend such a good time beach hopping and enjoy the big island. Me and my family really appreciate that.
Jeanne was welcoming in every email exchange. She met us at the house when we arrived, and there were treats left for us in a basket on the kitchen table. We felt very taken care of.
Great stay, directions for an easy check in and out experience were provided, location was perfect for both Kona and exploring the whole island (with rental car).
The house was exactly as described, loved all the beach gear that is left out for guest to use.
It is a nice large house. We were welcomed by a basket of papaya etc which was quite delicious. Will stay again when we visit the Big Island next time.
Our family's 5 day stay here was very nice. We were welcomed with a fruit basket including a delicious pineapple and some Kona coffee. Jeanne was a warm host and she provided some excellent recommendations for us on activities and places to visit. The house is about 5 minutes drive from the ocean as well as many restaurants, shopping areas, grocery stores, etc. Also close to some beautiful scenic drives of the Hawaiian coastline and local coffee farms.
This house was ideally suited for our family with 2 kids and my wife's parents (3 nicely sized bedrooms). The bedrooms are well setup w/ adequate closet space for our things. There are plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, etc. There is a closet filled with beach gear including snorkels/fins, beach towels, boogy boards, sand toys, beach chairs, and umbrellas. We enjoyed dining each morning on the lanai and looking out on the greenery of the back yard. There is a nice sitting room for the family to spend time together.
Our children (5 and 2) enjoyed staying here. There was a high chair, stroller, bed rails, and several kids books and toys which we used. The kids enjoyed watching cartoons on the SMART TV. Jeanne also provided us with a backpack carrier which we used when we visited the kids beach area (referred to locally as the"babypool") - a fun place for our young kids to play w/o being overwhelmed by the waves.
The house does not have air conditioning, but we found that we didn't need it. It is part way up the mountain, so it is cooler than the beach area. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, and there were several extra fans that could be moved around the house if necessary.
The kitchen is well-equipped, with plenty of mugs, plates, bowls, and glasses, including some plastic ones for the kids. There is a coffee maker, a microwave, a toaster, plenty of pots and pans for cooking on the stove, and good cupboard space. There is a nice grill out in the backyard. There is also a washer and dryer available, which we found very helpful. There was adequate parking for our rental car.
We had a lovely time meeting and hosting these two so nice and so friendly couple! Highly recommended to others. Mahalo Joanne & Alan - Ssen & Norio
Jeanne was a pleasure to interact with. Shortly before her stay was to commence, a family matter arose that precluded her for staying. However, she sourced another guest to stay in her absence. Crisis avoided. Look forward to hosting Jeanne in the future.
Jeanne has created a wonderful environment for your holiday pleasure. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and very close to Kailua Kona for beaches, night life and shopping. This is a lovely bit of paradise just for you.
Aloha Folks, I have known Alan and Jeanne for over 30 yrs here in Kona Hawaii. I first met Jeanne thru the Hawaii Arabian Horse Club as she was one of the founding members. They are both very knowledgeable about the Big Island of Hawaii...Jeanne was a trail/tour director and Alan takes folks out on his charter/fishing boat..I also know Alan and Jeanne thru the Big Island Ball Room Dance Club as Alan was one of our first instructors..I recommended that Alan and Jeanne share their Beautifully newly renovated house to Guest of AirBnB. I have witnessed first hand all the extras they are offering their Guest..and can Highly Recommend you giving their house a try...Aloha, Ted Dailey
