Orvieto Bed and Breakfast in Via Duomo.
Serena was a phenomenal host, and I wish that we could've spent more time getting to know her. She and her fine city completely charmed us. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay more than one night in Orvieto and at La Magnolia. We felt so comfortable immediately with Serena and in her brother's cafe downstairs, where we had a perfect breakfast in the morning. We are determined to return someday and spend a longer time here!
Serena was a wonderful host and her brother's cafe downstairs for breakfast was convenient and a nice treat. I wish we had more time to spend in Orvieto which is a very charming town. The place was large for my partner and I and conveniently located in the heart of the town near cafes, restaurants and shops. We drove a car and parking was nearby and inexpensive.
Serena proved to be a very welcoming and gracious host answering variety of questions.
The room was great; location - you cannot think of a better one if you want to stay in Orvieto.
Just a quick night's stay in Orvieto in our way to Naples. This place is in a great location and is very comfortable. Best shower we've had in Italy. The town is charming! And Serena is a very gracious hostess. Goes the extra mile to accommodate and make you feel welcome.
The location was great, right near the dome and everything. The room was amazing, which it was like this everywhere we travelled. Serena was very welcoming and hospitable. She recommened Il Cocco as a restaurant which was fantastic. Thanks!
Serena was the best host.....she welcomed us to her beautiful b&b, and gave us a wonderful dining recommendation for that evening. Since we were leaving very early the next morning, she kindly left a beautiful bag of goodies for our morning breakfast, and lots of snacks to keep us going throughout our travel day.
Loved Orvieto, and would love to come back & stay at La Magnolia B&B again.
Ciao Serena, Jane, Judy & Kate
The apartment was well appointed, very clean, comfortable and close to all the attractions and shops.
Spacious apartment with a great bathroom (spa shower, woo hoo)! Serena was so welcoming and accommodating - even made us dinner reservations to an excellent local restaurant for dinner. Great location - walkable to everything.
Serena was very kind and helpful but unfortunately we only got to stay one night at the B & B and the other couple didn't get to stay at all. Due to circumstances out of her control, the apartment we were supposed to stay in was damaged by the renovation of another apartment not belonging to Serena, so the water was off. Serena found a room at a nearby hotel for one couple and we spent one night at her place then moved to the hotel the second night. Serena's place was very nice and the room was wonderful. The hotel was fine although old and very noisy as we were in a room on the street. The church bells ring every 15 minutes in Orvieto all night long. Being across from a market, it was a busy walkway. Due to no fans in the rooms, we had to keep the windows open.
But as I said, none of this was Serena's fault and she did everything in her power to help us out. She even gave us her parking spot. We went to the cafe that she runs with her family for breakfast each morning. Although we were disappointed, we were happy that Serena was able to find a room for us. The location of La Magnolia was very nice.
Serena was friendly and helpful. We loved our visit to Orvieto. It is a beautiful quiet town, less touristy than others we visited. We were very pleased with our room at La Magnolia B&B. It was clean with beautiful frescos painted on the ceiling and a shower that had about 14 shower heads! We only wish we could've stayed longer. On Wednesdays they serve breakfast in the room which was nice because we had an early start to our travel day. If we ever travel to Orvieto again we would book with Serena!
