Anne's little house is a Paris treasure. We were four adults, and the space allowed us rooms to be private, and room to share meals and conversation. The little garden through which you enter is enough to lighten your spirits, if the rest of Paris has not already done so. We all found ourselves comfortable surrounded by her art and books. The only warnings of any kind are that the master bed, while comfortable, is a little short, which is necessary for the size of the room. It did not bother us, but might be uncomfortable for a very tall person. And the spiral staircase shifts and creaks, which also did not bother us, but might make your grandma nervous. Everything works, the hot water is HOT... it was a delightful experience. (Also there's a bistro one minute away which is fabulous.)
Thank you so much Leslie, very king of you
We had a great time at the house and Anne met with us on our arrival and explained everything we needed to know.
The house is exactly as in the photos and has a nice courtyard.
All in all we had a nice experience staying at Anne's house although it was a bit out of the center of Paris but the Metro was very near by to take and was about 15 min away from the center with metro.
There nice bistros around the house and Pastry shops too to by breakfast from such as croissants and what not!
The only downside to the apartment was the stairs I'd stay, which was quite noisy, not very stable and is a bit inconvenient if you're with kids.
Overall, the house is beautiful and we had a great time staying here.
Thank you Anne,
Hope to be back soon.
Liquide vaisselle, pastilles lave vaisselle etc...
We had a lovely time at the little house & did not want to leave. It was beautiful! From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right choice. It was well maintained & comfortable, with a fantastic decor.
The neighborhood was also lot of fun to explore, especially with the Montparnasse Cemetery & catacombs in easy walking distance. There is also a metro stop & taxi stand nearby. For people who love to walk, we found it was a very nice stroll to the Seine through the Luxembourg gardens.
Thank you, Anne, for opening your home to us.
My family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Anne's little house. The location was great: it was very close to the Metro, and right around the corner is a lovely boulangerie/patisserie, butchery, grocery store, and restaurants. The house itself is small but the furnishings were all done to make it feel spacious. The spiral staircase is to be used lightly, as it can feel shaky and make a lot of noise. I can't express how tasteful the decoration was! Anne is a wonderful curator. Thank you!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Anne's "little house" in Paris over the holidays. It is in a nice neighborhood outside of the central city, so it was quieter there. It is very conveniently located close to a metro stop, and there was a wonderful bakery on our walk to the metro where we stopped for baguettes and croissants. The size of the house was fine for our family of five, with two bedrooms (one is in the basement and the other is upstairs) and two full bathrooms. The spiral staircase to the upstairs level is a bit difficult to negotiate though. There is also a pull-out bed upstairs and another on the main/entry level. I needed to call Anne once about a blown fuse while we were there, and even though this was over the holidays, Anne answered immediately and walked us through the process to restore the electricity on the spot.
