it is the perfect place for a retreat.
Matnor is nice and very helpful.Even though he was on holiday outside of the country.
He took the trouble to check frequently if i had everything i needed.
Matnor was a very special good host! He took care of me a lot, like taking me from the airport, organizing a rental car, a prepaid card for my mobile and whenever I had a question or problems I could call and he reacted immediately. He offered me to stay with his family for dinner and for Hara Raya. I felt very homelike!! Thank you!
The room was more like a flat full of instruments. I'm a musician, so therefor I could play the drums, the guitar, an accoustic bass and we had a jam session together. You should rent a car or motorbike to be flexible and you need a navigation system because the house is in the middle of beautiful landscape. You have the possibility to cook and to wash your clothes in a washing machine. Small shops are around the corner, a big supermarket is in the city. For me it was very luxurious and I could really feel homelike.
I would come back again (with my band!?).
Hugs to you and your family, Matnor!!
The stay is a very nice house that’s basically in the middle of nowhere. You won’t find any restaurants nearby, no real markets (except for sort of a village store 2 km away) and no cabs. It’s solitude, but very relaxing.
Matnor helps you with pretty much everything. He picked us up, brought us a motor bike for rental, borrowed us a sim card (his private, so we could use the gps), invited us to dinner and even brought us to a local concert/festival. It’s way more than you could possibly expect - he’s just a really friendly and helpful person.
Now the house is not for those who don’t like to get around with a vehicle by themselves or is afraid of spiders and other insects. But if you can get past that, I think this is one of the gems in Sarawak.
Would definitively go here again! 5/5
Mohamad is very good host !
He picked them up another hotel to his apartment.
And he got us a lot of information of kuching.
His house location is very good.
We lend his bike,we enjpyed to ride Malaysia road.
I would highly recommend his airbnb hotel when you come Kuching.Thank you very much !!!
The house is located out in the jungle. It's perfect if you like to be away from the city but not too far away! Only a 30 minute drive into Kuching. The room has A/C the kitchen has a sink and electric stove/ hot plate. There is a fridge to store food. Matnor is a very good host he will get you anything you need and will do his best to fix any issues you have with the place or in sarawak in general. I would recommend staying here for sure if you want something more private or out of the way.
Matnor is a great host, extremely helpful and earnest. He even bought shampoo, body wash, toothpaste and buns in preparation for us. The house is spacious and private (atop a hill!) and a 20-min drive away from shops, which offers much privacy and serenity. We rented a car from him and it was very easy to get around - Kubah National Park in particular is just a stone's throw away (try the trail to the waterfalls!). We sat in the driveway at night and saw fireflies all around the house - that was really awesome. We also arranged with him to drop us off and pick us up again from some places, which really made the trip super smooth. On the last day he even took us to try the most amazing Laksa Sarawak ever, a must-try! Thanks Matnor for making it a really great trip to Kuching.
The perfect place! The mountains nearby, wifi, scooter, near wildlife center, parties, musical instruments. A lot of soul in this place.
