Lilia and her collaborators are extremely helpful and nice. They immediately welcome you and they provide you whatever you need.
I spent 4 months in this room and I strongly recommend it: its located 2 minutes walking from the subway, in a beautiful neighborhood with groceries, theaters, parks and other amazing activities.
The room is big enough for two people and the wardrobe is inside the room. I used to spend most of my time in mid-town that is actually quite close to Harlem thanks to the express train which takes just 25-35 minutes to reach mid and downtown.
The apartment is silent, with a fully furnished kitchen and a comfortable sitting room. The bathroom is perfect for three people and I never experienced any kind of problem.
All in all, I strongly recommend this place: I definitely book this room again in the future.
Lilia very intelligent and friendly lady. She will give all helpful recommendations, what you need.
We booked apartment in advanced and last 2 reviews about apartment I read already after booking so for sure had some waries before coming as recommendations were not good.
But what I can say from my experience, we like apartment very much!!!
First, it is very big!! You have good kitchen,I love to cook, so I have everything for this, also huge table where we had oppotunity to work with laptops and have a lot of space. Very soft and comfortable sofa to watch TV and separate bedroom what is great.
I read that Harlem can be dangerous, but we noticed nothing like that. Apartment locate between two metro stations, very close, like 5 and 7 minutes by walk. Also you can find near everything you need, supermarkets, shops, restaurants etc. Location is great! You need just 4 metro stations and you are already in Times Square, from home it is may be 30-40 minutes maximum. We also walked to Central Park, it took us 40 minutes. 90 minutes walking and you are near Apple store in centre. On the way you will have Metropolitan museum and others.
When we come back NY, we will stay it again.
A big room with a large bed. The train station is a 3 min. walk away, which can take you to times squares in just 20 minutes. Everything that you need is close. The hosts were very nice and helpful
I rented this place for to co-workers that lives and travels with me.
Our host was really nice, and helpfull.
The place was big, and seemed perfect.
Outside her building sat 3 big black guys, not did I know this is a place they sell their drugs. My co-workers complained daily about noise, screaming, music, fighting (One time one of them beat a woman with a bicycle ) and also the loud music from the neighbors in the same building. There is a lot of drug use here, and its not a safe or place and our co workers got almost no sleep during their stay.
If you have any chance to do otherwise, don't stay here.
Lilia was a very nice host who responded to my questions and helped me out when I had a problem. When it got cold towards the end of my stay she got me a warmer blanket and a heater and her boyfriend fixed our internet when we had trouble with it. The appartement is on the sixth floor of a house with many parties but it is calm, only on the weekends people are sometimes celebrating outside on the streets. The room is small but has everything you need, a comfortable bed, a small desk, a wardrobe and a big mirror. The kitchen equipment is adequate and the fridge quite big. The bathroom is okay too with a shower inside the bathtube. This is a three room appartement and I enjoyed the company of my two other (website hidden). Harlem is a good area to live, I did never feel unsafe on the streets, the appartement is cery close to a subway station and you are at Times Square within 25 minutes. In addition a laundry room and two grocery stores are within five minutes walk.
The apartment is located in a quite neighbourhood. The subway is 3 minutes far and it takes 20' to arrive in times square.lilia and Her boyfriend have paíd attention to every problem which happened.
Got what I payed for. Line 3 subway is right around the corner. Lilia was very nice and helpful. If you're a baseball fan, the yankees stadium is not far. Will definitely stay there again :-)
Lilia and her boyfriend Jay seemed very nice people, it’s a pity that we’ve got to the apartment in a very unfortunate time of changing of the house management company. Therefore for a whole month of our stay there was no supervisor to handle the troubles we’d encountered:
1)When I tried to turn on the light in the bedroom on the first night in the apartment I’d got minor electric shock but also we had lost the electricity in the half of the apartment (Lilia provided us with the extension cords).
2)The kitchen was pretty dirty when we arrived and the sanitary state of the bathroom was awful.
3)One night a RAT (!) showed up from under the refrigerator in the kitchen (Lilia provided us with rat traps).
4)Faucets in the kitchen and bathroom leaked for the most time of our stay, and in order to turn on cold water in the shower we had to use a knife each time, because the handle was out of order.
5)The mattress was a torture. It resists your lying body, so you can never have a rest, and wake up tired.
6)We did a right choice bringing our own air conditioners to the apartment because each window frame is broken and therefore the windows can’t held on in the open position.
7)It was supposed to be a non-smoking house, but our neighbors smoked all day long turning our place into a gas chamber.
8) For the all length of our stay someone’d been spraying some awfully smelly chemicals all over the building, which added to our headaches.
9)A crowd of teenagers spent literary every night hanging out on the stairs of the house, which is right under the bedroom windows.
10) The blinds on the windows are so thin that we had to attach some aluminum foil to the windows in order to make the room darker at night, otherwise the street light makes it too bright to sleep.
The most convenient thing about this apartment is that the subway is pretty close and you can always run and spend some time elsewhere in the city.
We do hope all these troubles were caused not by the Lilia’s way to do business (her boyfriend Jay did try to help us in our struggle to live there), but because we got there in a manager-less time.
Overall, this place is definitely not for a long-time stay, it might work OK for a few days though.
Lilia was very responsive and helpful when I lost my keys. Also accommodated some other requests. My stay was very pleasant and uneventful. The neighborhood was fine and felt like home.
Lilia and her boyfriend were a pleasure to have. Neat, tidy, prompt and communicative. Would welcome any time!
