I am an arts and culture consultant and writer, and PhD student, specialising in visual arts, architecture, tactical urbanism, placemaking and urban theory. If that doesn’t mean anything to you straight-away, I basically help artists and arts organisations do what they do, and I start and study projects that are based in the arts that help bring communities together, along the lines of guerilla gardening but with the arts and artists.
My house has a lot of art in it, and a lot of books! I have lived in this house for just over two years: its really homely and is on the best part of Brighton, at the top of the North Laine and right next to the train station. But the road I am on, although really central, is also really quiet.
I have lived in Brighton for 19 years – it’s a great little city with something for everyone, every night of the week. If you don’t know the place, I’d be happy to make bespoke suggestions for things to do and places to go during your stay.
My work and studies take me all over the place and I can accommodate people at the times when the house is vacant. This can be ad hoc times from one night to a couple of weeks, and at short or advance notice. I am also looking for blocks of circa three month subletting in the next two years (times TBC, this will be when I am away in Europe and the States for my PhD and these times need to be confirmed but to some degree can be set by when someone can sublet).
In short, I can be flexible on dates, hence leaving the calendar open, so best to contact me first to chat over exact dates. I'm also happy to do deals for two people staying or for more than two nights to help with your budget.
