I'm a ceramicist and work part time in an office to pay the bills and Paul is working towards his PhD thesis in philosophy. I love cooking and gardening, and making stuff.

Erica and Paul are friendly, relaxed people who were great to be around but happy to give me my own space. Their house was big and comfortable, close to a lot of great places to eat, and easy to get to the city from. Their puppy, Echo, was a source of much entertainment and it was nice to come home to something so excited to see me.
Erica and Paul were a lovely couple to stay with: really friendly and welcoming, and very helpful to us when we weren't sure of things. Erica even drove us to the nearby market one day, which was really nice of her. Their place is really well situated to get into the city centre, and the bed was super comfortable too, so we were sure to get a good night's sleep after seeing the sights!!
Overall a great experience - and our first time using Air BnB - we would definitely go back and stay if we went back to Melbourne :-)
Erica is a pleasant host. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. The house is well communicated to the CBD by train and tram.
great accomodation so clean and neat. will stay again
It was great to stay! They are both very friendly , we had a very nice time there!
Erica and Paul are great hosts and really lovely people. I stayed with them for a month as I was relocating to Melbourne for study and looking for a place to live in the area. I felt immediately at home staying with them. They went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. On my arrival I was welcomed with a hot meal waiting for me - which was very appreciated after a long drive - and Erica invited me to join her and her friend to a free burlesque show at a local venue. Such a great welcome to the area! I found both Erica and Paul very easy to get along with. We had some great chats about art and life over Erica's wonderful home cooked meals, which I had the privilege to share. The room was clean and comfortable with all new linens and a very comfy bed. The location is a short tram ride to Northcote, where there is a great selection of restaurants and a bustling arts community, and about a five minute walk to Bell station, where you can catch a train into the city - which takes about 30 mins. The 86 tram stops conveniently only about 100 meters away, which also takes you right to the city, passing through trendy Brunswick Street and Smith Street along the way. The only down side to that is the noise. It is a busy area and the traffic from Bell street is quite loud and the trams start running VERY early, so if you are a light sleeper and not used to city noise, this might not be the best place to stay. I suffered a bit of sleep deprivation, so unfortunately had to cancel my second month - which I was reluctant to do, since Erica and Paul are such great hosts to stay with. They were very understanding of my issue with the noise and sleep loss. I should mention, I am from the country and am a very light sleeper, so if you are used to city noise, this should not be a problem. As a short term option, I would definitely stay with them again. Highly recommend!
Erica was a great host, friendly and very helpful with tips on Melbourne. The place is very calm and resting.
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Erica. Elle a été accueillante, sympathique et a vraiment tout fait pour rendre notre voyage sur Melbourne plus facile. En plus, elle parle « un petit peu français » ce qui nous a grandement aidés!! Merci Erica and see you soon !!!
