Here is my review from Eunkwang:
You would feel like staying in jungle. You will never see or hear from Antoinette. Do not expect any help or advice. Staying was fairly nice. I loved bird sound at night.
With that said, we were happy to accommodate Eunkwang and his new wife for a few days during their honeymoon here on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Immediately upon their booking, I sent a message thanking them for choosing to stay with us along with detailed instructions on finding our home and making themselves at home in their studio during their stay.
I contacted them on the day of their arrival to see what time we should be expecting them with no response. It finally got a bit late in the evening and I fell asleep, however we have 2 phone numbers listed on airbnb so we we figured they would call if they needed. I awoke around 8:30 to hearing my daughter talking to him and directing him to the studio.
I text him the very next morning apologizing for falling asleep and again gave him 2 numbers to reach us if he needed anything.
I never heard from Eunkwang via the airbnb thread or our cell phones with any questions or concerns so I figured his stay was going well and he just didn't want to be disturbed. The times I was home (I own a bakery), their car was either gone or the window shades were drawn and I really didn't feel comfortable knocking on the door to his studio during his honeymoon.
Unfortunately it sounds like he would have liked more communication from me and text messaging his cell phone wasn't sufficient enough to reach him. However, he never once tried to contact me during his stay to let me know he'd like to connect and had questions or needed assistance with anything.
The room was left in satisfactory condition.
If you are a host and decided to rent to Kungwang, I just highly recommend touching base immediately or knocking on his door if he doesn't return your text or airbnb messages.
