Small Animal Veterinarian, Author & Knitting Pattern Designer, Technical Editor; married to Dave, H.S. Physics teacher, amateur astronomer.
I have two knitting books published: California Revival Knits, with intermediate to intermediate plus knitting patterns inspired by the Spanish Revival architectural style of the 1920s; and Hitch: Patterns Inspired by the Films of Alfred Hitchcock, which is a multidesigner book.
I've just finished a third collection of knitting patterns, a series of five eBooks, inspired by the flora, fauna, geology & history of Arizona.
(For those into knitting, I write colorwork (stranding & intarsia), lace, beading, cables & twisted stitch patterns.)
We're both foodies & love to try new restaurants. We also love to go wine tasting.
To burn calories we like to go hiking, bicycling, beach combing, etc.
Tattoos? Dave has a custom astronomy sleeve on one arm, and a variety of tats on his right arm (including one of Giordano Bruno). Mine are of animals I've worked with or love, with a Celtic flavor: cats, corvids, and a mountain lion.
